Eligibility Criteria

1. Essential Qualification:

• For Chemical Trade: B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Chemical Trade OR B.Sc. Graduate with Chemistry as one of the major subjects.
• For Mechanical Trade: B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Trade.
• Ex-Graduate apprentice who have undergone minimum one year training as per Apprenticeship Act 1961 in Chemical/Mechanical trade of Ordnance Factories under MIL or Factories manufacturing Military Ammunitions and Explosive.

2. Age Limit (as on closing date):

• General Category: 30 years
• OBC-NCL: 33 years (3 years relaxation)
• SC/ST: 35 years (5 years relaxation)

3. Criteria for Engagement:

• Persons who have completed one year Apprenticeship in Ordnance Factories under MIL or factories manufacturing ammunitions and explosives.
• Possess skill in Apprenticeship in Chemical or other than manufacturing/handling of ammunition and explosive and hazardous chemicals.

Selection Process

• Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on marks scored in B.E./B.Tech or Diploma or B.Sc. Graduate with Chemistry as one of the major subjects.
• Personal Interaction/Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for Personal Interaction/Interview.
• Merit List: Merit list will be prepared based on combined marks secured in Degree/Diploma/B.Sc and Personal Interaction/Interview.
• Weightage: 85% weightage for marks in Degree/Diploma/B.Sc and 15% weightage for Personal Interaction/Interview.
• Document Verification: Candidates scoring above the cut-off marks will be called for Document Verification in the order of Merit.
• Offer of Engagement: Candidates qualifying in the Document Verification stage will be issued Offers of Engagement.

Remuneration & Benefits

• Pay: 1/30th of the pay at the basic pay plus dearness allowance for work of 8 hours a day.
• IDA: Industrial Dearness Allowance as prevalent will be applicable.
• House Rent Allowance: As per classification of cities (When Company Quarter is not Available).
• Company Quarters: Priority for allotment of quarters, wherever available.
• EPF: Eligible for EPF and Employee Compensation Act as per government guidelines.

Important Instructions

• Engagement shall be on contract basis initially for a period of One year which may be extended for another period of Three years i.e. total maximum period of Four years with renewal on a Yearly basis.
• The tenure will come to an end automatically on completion of four years period from the date of joining, without any further notice.
• The employment can be terminated at any time by giving one month's notice by either side.
• There will not be any commitment to the candidate either for absorption as permanent employee or extension of term.
• The OBC candidate applying under OBC category must submit a duly signed undertaking in the format given at Appendix-I.
• Valid OBC-NCL/EWS certificate as on closing date of application is required at the time of Document Verification.
• Submission of false/incorrect/incomplete information and/or dubious/bogus documents shall disqualify the candidature.
• Submission of more than one application by the same individual for a post will summarily be rejected.
• SC/ST candidates shall be paid second class TA as admissible under the rules on production of Bus/Train ticket and Caste/Community Certificate.

• Any dispute with regard to the said engagement will be subject to courts situated in Pune only.
