- Project Title: Efficacy of corticosteroid therapy on neurological outcomes in near-hanging patients with altered sensorium: A multi-centre, double-blinded, placebo-controlled, randomized trial (CHANGING trial)

Eligibility Criteria
1. Essential Qualification:
- Minimum second-class or equivalent CGPA three-year General Nursing and Midwife (GNM) course.
- OR B.Sc (Nursing).
- Work experience in clinical research projects after nursing course.
- Able to work in MS-Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
- Willing to work in other study sites.
- Maximum 30 years.
Remuneration & Benefits
- Salary: Rs. 20,000 + 20% HRA per month (No other allowances are payable).
- The position is purely on a contract basis for an externally sponsored project.
- No claim to any regular post in JIPMER at any time.
- The engagement may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of the Project Investigator.

Selection Process
- Shortlisting: Applicants will be shortlisted based on the details furnished in the application, CV, and the documentary proof provided.
- Written Test: A written test will be conducted if there are more than 10 eligible applicants.
- Interview: Final selection will be based on CV, application, and written test/interview.
- Interview Areas: Management of hanging patients, complications of steroid therapy, management of hyperglycemia and fluid management, Good Clinical Practice, good documentation practices, and IP accountability.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the written test and/or interview.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Nature of Work & Responsibilities
- Identification of eligible patients
- Study documentation
- Drug inventory management
- Administration of study drug and placebo for 24 hours (4 times a day) - night duties required
- Monitoring of patients for Adverse Effects
- Communication with project research scientist and site PI
- Redcap data entry
- Collection of blood specimens
- Data collection and follow-up of patients
- Project-related correspondence
