Eligibility Criteria
1. For Civilian Officers (Deputation):
- Officers under the Central Government or State Government, Union Territories, Autonomous or Statutory Organization, Public Sector Undertakings, or Recognized Research Institution.
- Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; OR
- With five years of service rendered after appointment to the post on regular basis in Level-12 (Rs. 78,800 - 2,09,200) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.
- Not below the rank of Lieutenant Colonel or equivalent in Level-12A (Rs. 1,21,200 - 2,12,400) with five years of service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis.
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Post Graduate Diploma in Material Management from a Recognized University or Institute.
- Three years' experience in inventory management or procurement function or transportation management.
- Maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall be not exceeding fifty-six years, as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
Selection Process
- Screening of Applications: Applications received will be screened based on eligibility criteria.
- Deputation: Selection will be on deputation basis as per Government of India rules.
- Terms and Conditions: The terms and conditions of deputation will be governed by the DOP&T's OM No. 6/8/2009-Estt.(Pay-II) dated 17.06.2010, as amended from time to time.

Important Instructions
- The period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization or department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed three years.
- The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall be not exceeding fifty-six years, as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
- Departmental officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation.
- Deputationists shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment by promotion.
- Applications received after the last date or without the Confidential Reports/APARs or otherwise found incomplete will not be considered.
- While forwarding the applications, it may be verified and certified that the particulars furnished by the officers are correct and that no disciplinary/vigilance case is pending.
- The details of Major/Minor Penalties imposed on the officer during the last 10 years may also be furnished.
- Candidates who once apply for the post and selected will not be allowed to withdraw his/her candidature.
