Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification:

• Degree/Diploma candidates should possess full-time regular four years Degree in Engineering or three years Diploma in the above-mentioned streams from Institutions recognized by AICTE, GOI.
• Candidates should have obtained minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST Candidates) in aggregate.

2. Passing Year:

• Candidates who have passed Degree/Diploma on or after 01 April 2022 only are eligible to apply.
• Candidates who have completed more than Five years from the date of passing the qualifying examination as on the date of joining shall not be eligible.
• Students who have appeared for the final year examination and awaiting results may also apply, however, their engagement shall be subject to qualifying the essential equivalent qualification and production of Certificate.

3. Age Limit (as on 31 July 2026):

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 26 years
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST & PwBD candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates.

4. Domicile:

• Candidates belonging to the states of Maharashtra (Nagpur/in the nearby area of Nagpur) are eligible.

Stipend Details

• Graduate Apprentice: ₹15,000/- per month (₹8,850/- from Establishment + ₹6,150/- Government share through BOAT)
• Diploma Apprentice: ₹12,000/- per month (₹6,550/- from Establishment + ₹5,450/- Government share through BOAT)
• Government Share will be directly credited to the apprentices' registered bank account through BOAT.

Selection Process

• Merit-based Selection: Selection for engagement of Apprentices would be based on the percentage (%) of marks in the qualifying examination.
• Interview/Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview/document verification through their registered E-mail ID only.
• Medical Fitness: Submission of Certificate of Medical Fitness from a Gazetted Government Medical Officer/Medical Officer of a Government Undertaking at the time of joining.
• Police Verification: Police verification certificate to be obtained from the local area of residence.

How to Apply for AAI Nagpur Apprentice Recruitment 2026

• Step 1: Register on the BOAT/NATS web portal at https://nats.education.gov.in (NATS 2.0 Portal) as a Student.
• Step 2: After completing enrollment/registration as Student/Apprentice, candidates have to apply to AAI Advertisement against the advertisement shown on the dashboard.
• Step 3: After registering on the BOAT web portal, candidates' documents shall be verified by BOAT.
• Step 4: Apply to Airports Authority of India, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur (Establishment No. WMHMCc000058) under the desired trade for apprenticeship.
• Step 5: Applications received online through the NATS portal will only be considered.

Important Terms & Conditions

• Apprentices shall have to undergo Apprenticeship training at the notified Airport/Establishment. No change in the place of training will be entertained.
• Candidates who have already completed their apprenticeship or terminated their apprenticeship midway or pursuing their apprenticeship with other organizations or AAI with the same qualification level shall not be eligible.
• Candidates who had training or job experience for a period of one year or more after the attainment of essential qualifications shall not be eligible.
• No application fee is required.
• AAI is not liable to offer any employment to the apprentices on completion of their training.
• Apprentices who have successfully completed one year of Apprenticeship Training in AAI will be exempted from submitting application fees for future direct recruitment in AAI, subject to fulfillment of other requirements.
• The decision of AAI Management will be final and binding on all candidates on all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the application, mode of selection, etc.
• Reservation for SC/ST and OBC as applicable will be followed.
• OBC candidates are required to submit the NCL (Non-creamy Layer) certificate.
• Filling up of the seats is solely at the discretion of the AAI management based on suitability of candidates.
