Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• MBBS or equivalent from a recognized University as per Medical Council of India/Government of India norms.
• Must possess valid Registration Certificate from Medical Council of India.

Experience:

• Five years post-medical qualification working experience from a Government Hospital/Private Hospital of repute.
• Candidates who have worked in Aviation/Government Establishments, PSUs and retired doctors from Government Institutions will be given preference.

Age Limit:

• Maximum Age: 70 years

Proximity Requirement:

• Candidate residing in close proximity to the airport are preferred so as to make himself/herself available for duty within two hours of being informed for duty immediately in case of any emergency.

Duty Details

• Working Days: 05 days per week (Monday to Friday)
• Working Hours: 06 hours per day (11:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
• Honorarium: ₹ 3,000/- (inclusive of conveyance) for 06 hours duty per working day
• Additional Hour: ₹ 500/- for every additional hour performed beyond 06 hours

How to Apply for AAI Medical Consultant Recruitment 2026

• Step 1: Download the prescribed application format from the official AAI website or use the format provided in the notification (Annexure-I).
• Step 2: Fill the application form properly with all required details.
• Step 3: Attach self-attested copies of certificates in support of Educational Qualification, Experience, Registration Certificate from Medical Council of India, etc.
• Step 4: Attach two recent passport size photographs and proof of residential address.
• Step 5: Duly sign Annexure-II (Remuneration, Terms and Conditions of Engagement & Termination), Annexure-III (Charter of Duties and Responsibilities), and Annexure-IV (Code of Conduct).

Terms & Conditions of Engagement

• The engagement is purely temporary. No claim shall lie for regular employment on that basis at any stage.
• The Medical Consultant shall perform daily 06 hours duty on all prescribed working days.
• The Medical Consultant will not be entitled to any leave and any other benefits enjoyed by the employees of AAI.
• AAI will not undertake any liability for providing any other facility or any kind of compensation in lieu thereof.
• They will not be entitled to any benefit like Provident Fund, Benevolent Fund, Group Insurance or any other kind of compensation available to the employees of AAI.
• There will be no other financial liability on part of AAI.
• They shall be under the administrative control of the General Manager (HR) RHQ, ER or as notified from time to time.

Important Instructions

• The Competent Authority of AAI can terminate the contract any time without assigning any reason.
• The Medical Consultant may terminate the engagement after giving one month advance notice to AAI.
