Educational Qualification
Supervisor (Mechanical):
- Essential:
- a) Three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education.
- OR
- b) ITI (NTC) in Welding trade or Sheet metal worker trade or Bench fitter or Fitter trade or Plumber trade from the State Board of Technical Education.
- Desirable: Post-diploma qualification in NDT will be an added advantage.
- Essential: Three-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education.
- Desirable: Experience in the areas of Electrical or Electrical QC or Production or the automation/control function.
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) / Business Management (BBM) / Business Administration (BBA) with minimum of 60% marks from a recognized University.
Experience Required
Supervisor (Mechanical):
- For Diploma holders:
- Minimum 7 years post-qualification experience in Ship Building or Ship Repair or Engineering company or Offshore platform or Marine related Engineering company or Government/Semi-Government Company/Establishment.
- Out of 7 years experience, minimum 2 years shall be in a supervisory capacity.
- For ITI holders:
- Minimum 15 years post-qualification experience in Ship Building or Ship Repair or Engineering company or Offshore platform or Marine related Engineering company or Government/Semi-Government Company/Establishment.
- Out of 15 years experience, minimum 3 years shall be in a supervisory capacity.
- Minimum 7 years post-qualification experience in Ship Building or Ship Repair or Engineering company or Offshore platform or Marine related Engineering company or Government/Semi-Government Company/Establishment.
- Out of 7 years experience, minimum 2 years shall be in a supervisory capacity.
- Minimum 7 years post-qualification experience in the area of Finance and Accounts.
- Out of 7 years experience, minimum 2 years shall be in a supervisory capacity.
- Desirable: Proficiency in Computer Applications like MS Office, Excel, SAP.
Age Limit
- Upper age limit: 45 years as on 01 September 2026 (born on or after 02 September 1981).
- Age relaxation:
- OBC candidates: 3 years (for posts reserved for OBC)
- SC candidates: 5 years (for posts reserved for SC)
- Ex-servicemen: As per Government of India guidelines. However, in no case shall the age limit exceed 50 years after applying all age relaxations.

- Phase I - Written Test (80 Marks):
- Objective Type Test (40 Marks - 45 minutes duration)
- Descriptive Type Test (40 Marks - 90 minutes duration)
- Phase II - PowerPoint Presentation (20 Marks): On work experience (not more than 10 minutes)
- Minimum Pass Marks:
- UR & EWS: 50% in each test
- OBC: 45% in each test (for OBC reserved posts only)
- SC: 40% in each test (for SC reserved posts only)
- PwBD: 40% in each test
- Final Merit List: Based on total marks secured in Phase I & Phase II.
