Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Only Indian Nationals are eligible.
- Educational Qualification: As per the above table from a recognized Board/University.
- Passing Year: Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination in the last five years (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 & 2026) are ONLY eligible.
- Result Declaration: Applications of candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination but whose results have not been declared/available as on the last date of submission of application are NOT eligible.
- Higher Qualification: Candidates with higher qualification are NOT eligible.
- Regular Course: Those candidates who have completed the qualifying examination as regular candidates are ONLY eligible to apply.
- Age Limit: Minimum Age NOT less than 18 years. Maximum age and relaxation as per the Apprentices Act – 1961, Apprentices Rules 1992, and NATS 2.0 Guidelines.
- Not Eligible: Candidates who had apprenticeship training or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training under any organisation or have job experience for a period of ONE year or more after attaining the essential qualification are NOT eligible.
Application Fee

Salary & Stipend
- Monthly Stipend: ₹15,000/- per month for all Graduate Apprentice categories.
- Training Duration: 01 Year from the date of execution of the contract of apprenticeship.
- No TA/DA, accommodation, transport, or medical facilities will be provided to the applicants for any stage of the selection process or after selection during the training.
Selection Process
- Offline Application: Candidates must register on the NATS 2.0 portal and then apply offline by filling the application form available on the DRDO website.
- Shortlisting: Depending upon the vacancies available in various categories and disciplines, selection will be carried out by shortlisting on the basis of academic merit / written test / interview / walk-in interview or combination of the above, subject to satisfactory verification of the documents.
- Document Verification: Candidates must present original documents with one set of self-attested photocopies at the time of document verification.
- Final Selection: Selection shall be deemed final only after the online approval of the contract by the competent authority.

- Step 2: Visit the official DRDO website at www.drdo.gov.in and navigate to the "Offerings > Vacancies" section.
- Step 3: Download the official advertisement and application form for HEMRL Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27.
- Step 4: Fill the application form completely in BLOCK LETTERS with all required details.

Important Instructions
- Only offline applications will be accepted. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria may apply offline.
- Incomplete/erroneous applications or applications received after the last date will be rejected. No further communication in this regard will be entertained.
- The marks obtained in the qualifying exam are to be mentioned in percentage. In the case of CGPA, candidates are requested to convert the CGPA into percentage as per their university norms (CGPA X 9.5 for cases where percentage or formula is not mentioned in mark sheets).
- The selected candidate must execute a contract for a period of ONE YEAR of training as per the provisions of The Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprentice Rules 1992.
- The selected candidates will be informed through email with further joining instructions. No correspondence shall be entertained from candidates NOT selected for training.
- Selected candidates must join the apprenticeship on the date specified by HEMRL with the completion of administrative formalities.
- If the candidate does NOT report by the scheduled date, it will be assumed that the candidate is NOT interested in the apprenticeship and the candidature may be forfeited without further communication.
- No employment (Permanent/Temporary/Contractual) is offered at HEMRL or DRDO to any apprentice after completion of their apprenticeship training.
- HEMRL reserves the right to adopt its own method of short-listing criteria and is NOT obliged to shortlist all candidates who fulfil the minimum requirement.
- Director, HEMRL reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of vacancies or to withdraw the advertisement/cancel the selection process if circumstances so warrant without assigning any reason.
- Canvassing/influencing in any form shall lead to disqualification of the candidate.
- Selected candidates should abide by the rules and regulations framed by the Administration from time to time.
