About NewSpace India Limited (NSIL)

NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) was incorporated under the Companies Act as a wholly owned Government of India Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) to commercially exploit the research and development work carried out by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Centres and constituent units of the Department of Space (DOS). Job Description & Responsibilities

The Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) is the Chief Executive of the Company and is responsible to the Board of Directors. The CMD is responsible for all the activities and operations of the company including:

• Human Resources (HR) Management
• Financial and Commercial Management
• Corporate Planning
• Project Implementation
• Technical, Administrative, and day-to-day working of the Company
• Long-term growth of the organization

The CMD is responsible for the effectiveness of the organization in pursuit of the Company's goals and objectives.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit:

• Minimum age: 45 years as on the last date of receipt of applications (21 September 2026).

Educational Qualification:

• Graduate with a good academic record from a recognized University/Institute.
• Preference will be given to applicants with Graduation in Engineering/Science or MBA/Two-year Full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration/Business Management.

Experience Required:

• Adequate technical/operational/project management experience at a senior level in an organization of repute.
• High standards of integrity and an impeccable reputation.

The applicant must be employed in a regular capacity (not contractual/ad-hoc) in one of the following:

• Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE)
• Central Government (including Armed Forces of the Union and All India Services)
• State Public Sector Enterprises (SPSE) with annual turnover of Rs. 1000 crore or more
• Private Sector Company with annual turnover of Rs. 1000 crore or more

Note: Preference would be given to candidates from listed companies.

For Central Government / All India Services:

• At least holding a post of the level of Joint Secretary in Government of India or carrying equivalent scale of pay.

For Armed Forces:

• At least holding a post of the level of Major General in the Army or equivalent rank in Navy/Air Force.

For State PSE / Private Sector:

• Working at a post at least at a level immediately below the Board level.

Selection Process

• Shortlisting: The SCSC reserves the right to shortlist applicants for interview.
• Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
