Educational Qualification

Minimum Educational Qualifications (For All Subjects except Agriculture):

Graduate and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)
OR
Bachelor's Degree with at least 50% marks and one-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)
OR
Bachelor's Degree with at least 45% marks and one-year B.Ed. as per NCTE regulations
OR
Higher Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks and four-year B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed./B.L.Ed.
OR
Bachelor's Degree with at least 50% marks and one-year B.Ed. (Special Education)

For Agriculture Teacher:

Graduate with B.Ed. is mandatory.
TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) is NOT mandatory for Agriculture Teacher.

Additional Requirement:

Must have passed Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the appropriate government as per NCTE guidelines. (Except Agriculture Teacher)

Note: All educational qualifications will be valid as per NCTE notifications and court orders issued from time to time.

Selection Process

Stage 1 - Online Application: Candidates must register and submit the online application on CGSSB website.
Stage 2 - Written Examination: 100 marks objective type test (2 hours duration).
Stage 3 - Error Correction Window: 03 days after the last date (with fee) to correct errors in the application.
Final Selection: Based on marks obtained in the written examination.
Merit List Validity: 06 months from the date of issue.
Waiting List Validity: 09 months from the date of issue of selection list (up to 25% of vacancies).

Important Notes on Salary

The post is classified as Un-Gazetted Third Class (E&T Cadre) under Pay Matrix Level 8.
The total monthly emoluments are a combination of Basic Pay + Dearness Allowance (DA) + House Rent Allowance (HRA) + Transport Allowance (TA) + other applicable allowances as per Government of Chhattisgarh rules.
DA, HRA, TA, and other allowances are applicable as per Government of Chhattisgarh/Department rules and are subject to revision from time to time.

The applicant must be a local resident of Chhattisgarh state.
Candidates should apply for only one subject. Multiple applications will be rejected.
Candidates must have a valid TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) pass certificate (except Agriculture Teacher).
OBC candidates will get reservation benefit only if they are non-creamy layer.
Candidates must have an income certificate issued within the last 3 years before the application date.
After successful submission of the application, download the printout and keep it with you.
Error correction window of 03 days will be available after the last date (with fee).
Online objections on Model Answer Key will be accepted only within the prescribed period. Fee of ₹50/- per question is applicable.
No revaluation/rechecking of OMR answer sheets will be done.
CGSSB's responsibility is limited only to conducting the examination and declaring the results. Document verification and appointment are done by the respective department.
Admit card will be available on the website approximately 7 days before the examination.
Candidates must reach the examination center at least 2 hours before the scheduled time.
Carry a valid photo ID (Voter ID/Driving License/PAN Card/Aadhaar Card) along with the admit card.
Wearing dark-colored clothes (black, dark blue, dark green, purple, dark chocolate) is prohibited.
Scribe facility is available for PwBD candidates with a certificate from CMHO/Civil Surgeon/Medical Superintendent (issued within 6 months of exam date).
