The Cochin Shipyard Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification was published on 12 August 2026. A total of 139 vacancies have been announced for Graduate and Technician (Diploma) Apprentices in various engineering disciplines. Eligible candidates who are domicile of Kerala and passed during 2022-2026 can apply online through the NATS portal. The last date to submit the online application is 01 September 2026.

Educational Qualification
Category I - Graduate Apprentices:
- A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a Statutory University in relevant discipline.
- OR A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament.
- OR Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognized by State/Central Government as equivalent.
- For Sl.No 1 to 6: A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education or a University in relevant discipline.
- For Sl.No 7 (Commercial Practice): A Diploma in Commercial Practice granted by an Institution recognized by State/Central Government.

- Minimum Age: 18 years old as on 01 September 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
- Only candidates who are domicile of Kerala shall be considered.
- Candidates must have passed during 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 & 2026.
- Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship under Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973 are NOT ELIGIBLE.
Selection Process
- Shortlisting based on percentage of marks obtained in basic prescribed qualification.
- In case of tie, seniority in passing year will be considered.
- If year of passing is identical, older candidate (as per date of birth) will be given preference.
- Certificate Verification of shortlisted candidates.
- Medical Fitness Examination.
- Final selection in order of merit/reservation.

- Step 1: Visit the NATS portal at https://nats.education.gov.in
- Step 2: For students already registered in the old portal (portal.mhrdnats.gov.in):
- Activate account using "forgot password" option
- Login and complete application form
- Step 3: For new students:
- Click "Student" → "Student Register"
- Complete the application form
- A unique Enrolment Number will be generated
- Step 4: Login to the portal
- Step 5: Search "COCHIN SHIPYARD LIMITED" under "Apply against advertised vacancies"
- Step 6: Click "Apply" (Status should show as "applied")
- Step 7: Ensure all details are correct before final submission
