Educational Qualification

Research Engineer (RE) – Mechanical Engineering (All Post Codes)

B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years relevant experience.
OR M.E./M.Tech. or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with 3 years relevant experience.
Minimum Marks: 65% in Qualifying Degree (60% for SC/ST candidates).
B.E./B.Tech. degree shall be in Mechanical Engineering.
For Post Codes RE-ME-MPF-001, RE-ME-CFD-002, RE-ME-VTF-003, RE-ME-FFR-004: Specific specialization and experience requirements as detailed in the notification.
Desirable: PhD.

Junior Research Engineer (JRE)

B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent in the respective discipline (Mechanical/Civil/Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering).
Minimum Marks: 65% in Qualifying Degree (60% for SC/ST candidates).
Freshers may apply.
Candidates awaiting final results may also apply (subject to uploading final marksheets by 31 August 2026).
For other examinations (Class X & XII, Diploma, etc.), pass with 60% marks is sufficient.

Important Instructions

Only Indian Nationals need apply.
Candidates must have passed four-year Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 65% marks (60% for SC/ST) as on closing date.
SC/ST candidates applying against UR posts shall be considered under general standard of merit (no relaxation in minimum qualifying marks).
OBC candidates must belong to Non-Creamy Layer and produce certificate in prescribed format issued in the year of advertisement.
EWS candidates shall submit certificate in prescribed format.
Where CGPA/OGPA/CPI is awarded, equivalent percentage should be indicated as per University/Institute norms.
Furnishing wrong/false/incomplete information will lead to disqualification.
No TA/DA is payable for attending test/interview.
