Eligibility Criteria

1. Eligibility for Deputation:

• Police Officials of the Central Government or State Governments or Union Territory Administrations.
• (a)(i) Holding analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; OR
• (a)(ii) With five years regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in Level-3 in the pay matrix (₹ 21,700 - ₹ 69,100) in the parent cadre or Department.

2. Driving Licence & Experience:

• Possessing a valid motor driving licence (Light Motor Vehicle and Heavy Motor Vehicle).
• Three years' experience of driving Light Motor Vehicle or Heavy Motor Vehicle.

3. Age Limit:

• Maximum age limit for appointment by deputation/absorption shall not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.

4. Period of Deputation:

• Period of deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization/department of the Central Government shall be five years one time and extendable to 1+1.

  • Department of Expenditure OM No. 1/1/008-IC dated 13th September, 2008.

  • MHA's letter No. I-21022/03/2016-Pers.II dated 22.11.2026.
