Educational Qualification
Super Specialist Medical Officers (Second-in-Command):
- A graduate degree in Medicine (M.B.B.S.) or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Enrolled in any State Medical Register maintained under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- Completed compulsory rotating internship.
- Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in the related specialty.
- Doctorate of Medicine (DM) or Magister Chirurgie (M.Ch.) or equivalent with three years' experience in the concerned Super-Specialty.
- Permanent registration from MCI/NMC/State Medical Council.
- Recognized medical qualification of Allopathic system of medicines included in the first or second schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- Permanent registration from MCI/NMC/State Medical Council.
- Completion of compulsory rotating internship.
- Post Graduate (PG) Degree/Diploma in the concerned specialty with one and a half years' experience after PG Degree or two and a half years' experience after PG Diploma.
- Recognized medical qualification of allopathic system of medicines included in the first or second schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- Permanent registration from MCI/NMC/State Medical Council.
- Completion of compulsory rotating internship. Candidates undergoing internship can also apply.
Age Limit (as on 08 September 2026)
- Super Specialist Medical Officers (Second-in-Command): Not exceeding 50 years.
- Specialist Medical Officers (Deputy Commandant): Not exceeding 40 years.
- Medical Officers (Assistant Commandant): Not exceeding 30 years.

- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- Government Servants (Civilian Central Government): 5 years
- SSCOs released after 5 years of service: 5 years
- SC/ST Government Servants/SSCOs: 10 years

- Specialist Medical Officers (Deputy Commandant): Level-11 of Pay Matrix, pay scale Rs. 67,700 - 2,08,700 per month.
- Medical Officers (Assistant Commandant): Level-10 of Pay Matrix, pay scale Rs. 56,100 - 1,77,500 per month.
