Bank of Baroda has released the official notification for recruitment of 2482 Local Bank Officers on a regular basis across multiple States and Union Territories. Eligible graduates with at least one year of post-qualification officer-level banking experience can apply online from 18 August 2026 to 07 September 2026. Candidates must also have proficiency in the local language of the State for which they apply.

Eligibility
- Candidates must satisfy the prescribed educational qualification, age, experience and local-language requirements as on the applicable cut-off date.
- Candidates can apply for vacancies in one State only.
- Merit will be prepared State-wise and category-wise.
- The selected candidate will initially be posted in the State for which he/she has applied.
- Employees currently working in Bank of Baroda in officer cadre or on contract basis are not eligible.
- Employees who resigned from an officer-grade position in Bank of Baroda or exited from the bank while serving on contract within the last three years as on the cut-off date are also not eligible.
- Only one application should be submitted by each candidate.
Educational Qualification
- Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution.
- The qualification must be recognized by the Government of India, appropriate government bodies or AICTE, wherever applicable.
- Candidates may possess preferred certifications such as IC 38, NISM Series V-A, NISM Series XXI-A and NISM Series XIII. These certifications are preferred and are not the mandatory basic qualification.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience as an Officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank listed in the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India.
- Experience in the Clerical cadre will not be considered for eligibility.
- Experience of less than six months in any organization as on 01.08.2026 will generally not be counted, except where such experience forms part of the current employment.
- Candidates must produce an Experience Certificate/job profile certified by the present or previous employer.
- The experience and job profile should substantially match the responsibilities of a Scale-I officer.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years
- Age Cut-off Date: 01 August 2026
Age Relaxation
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years for Gen/EWS, 13 years for OBC and 15 years for SC/ST
- Eligible Ex-Servicemen / ECOs / SSCOs: 5 years for Gen/EWS, 8 years for OBC and 10 years for SC/ST, subject to the conditions specified in the notification.
- Age relaxation is subject to the applicable reservation points and Government of India rules.
- Cumulative age relaxation is not available beyond the provisions permitted under the notification.

Salary and Benefits
- Pay Scale: JMG/S-I
- Basic Pay: ₹48,480/- onwards as per the applicable officer pay scale.
- The pay scale progresses through applicable annual increments up to ₹85,920/-.
- One advance increment will be granted to candidates having one year or more of officer-level experience in a Scheduled Commercial Bank, subject to applicable rules.
- Selected candidates will also receive allowances, benefits, perquisites and other facilities applicable to Bank of Baroda officers under prevailing banking industry settlements and bank policies.
- Selected candidates will be on probation for 12 months of active service.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day banking operations and customer service.
- Handle account management, cash operations, remittances and banking service delivery.
- Process and manage credit proposals relating to retail, agriculture, MSME and other loan portfolios.
- Ensure compliance with KYC/AML, regulatory, audit, risk-management and fraud-prevention requirements.
- Supervise staff and support branch administration and reporting activities.
- Mobilize deposits, acquire customers and promote banking products and digital services.
- Develop long-term customer relationships and support business growth.
- Conduct customer visits, follow-ups and local-market outreach.
- Use local-language and market knowledge to strengthen customer engagement and financial inclusion.
Selection Process
- Online Examination / Multiple Rounds of Test
- Psychometric Test or other suitable assessment, wherever conducted
- Local Language Proficiency Test (LPT), wherever applicable
- Group Discussion and/or Personal Interview, as decided by the Bank
- Final selection based on the applicable selection methodology and merit
- Candidates shortlisted through the online examination may be called for GD/PI or other assessments.
- The Bank may modify, add or cancel any selection stage depending on its requirements.
- Candidates must qualify in the Local Language Proficiency Test where applicable.
- Candidates who have studied the specified local language in 10th or 12th standard and produce valid documentary evidence may be exempted from the language test.
- GD/PI may assess communication skills, personality, problem-solving ability, sales aptitude, efficiency and suitability for the Local Bank Officer role.
- The Bank may use different shortlisting ratios and qualifying criteria depending on vacancies and the number of candidates.
