The AVNL MTPF Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification has been released for a total of 162 vacancies for Non-ITI and Ex-ITI candidates in various trades including Fitter, Turner, Machinist, MMTM, Electrician, Electronics, and Welder. Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Limit (as on last date of receipt of application):

• Between 15 to 24 years.
• Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD/Ex-ITI candidates as per Government of India directives.
• Upper age limit is further relaxed by the period of training already undergone as per the normal duration of NCVT/SCVT in the relevant trade.

2. Educational Qualification:

A. For Non-ITI Candidates:

• Passed Madhyamik (Class X standard or equivalent) with minimum 50% marks in Aggregate and with 40% marks in Mathematics and Science each.

B. For Ex-ITI Candidates:

• Passed relevant trade test from any institute recognized by NCVT or SCVT or any other authority specified through Gazette notification of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship/Ministry of Labour and Employment with duration as per the Apprentice Act 1961.
• Passed Madhyamik / Class X std or equivalent (Minimum 50% aggregate marks both in Matriculate/Class X std and ITI).
• The relevant trade to be considered will be strictly on the basis of Schedule of Apprentice Act 1961 (and amendments thereof).

Stipend Details

Non-ITI Apprentices:

• 1st Year: ₹ 12,600/- per month
• 2nd Year: ₹ 14,400/- per month

Ex-ITI Apprentices:

• All ITI 2 Year Trades: ₹ 16,200/- per month
• All ITI 1 Year Trades: ₹ 14,400/- per month
• No other allowances will be paid during the entire period of apprenticeship training.

Selection Process

• Merit List: Selection will be done on the basis of merit list prepared separately for Non-ITI and Ex-ITI categories.
• For Non-ITI: Common merit list based on overall percentage of marks in Madhyamik (Class X). Trades allotted on merit-cum-choice basis.
• For Ex-ITI: Trade-wise merit list based on simple average of percentage of marks both in Matriculation and ITI (minimum 50% in aggregate in each).
• Document Verification: Provisionally selected candidates will be called for document verification.
• Medical Examination: Selected candidates will undergo medical examination by Asst. Civil Surgeon of Govt. Hospital/CGHS recognized hospital.

Tie-Breaking Criteria:

• In case of same marks/percentage, older age candidate shall be preferred.
• If date of birth is also same, candidate who passed Matriculation earlier shall be considered first.
• If year of passing is same, candidate name in alphabetical order appearing first will be considered.

How to Apply for AVNL MTPF Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026

• Step 1: Download the prescribed application form (Annexure-I) from the notification.
• Step 2: Fill the application form completely in CAPITAL LETTERS only with all required details.
• Step 3: Paste a recent passport size colour photograph on the application form.
• Step 4: Sign the application form (guardian's signature if minor).
• Step 5: Attach self-attested copies of all relevant documents duly attested by a Gazetted Officer or Competent Authority:
  • Identity Card (in absence of Aadhaar)
  • SSC (Matriculation / 10th Standard) mark sheet
  • Date of Birth proof (10th certificate/mark sheet/school leaving certificate)
  • Consolidated mark sheet for all semesters of relevant ITI trade (for Ex-ITI candidates)
  • National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT (for Ex-ITI candidates)
  • Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC) - OBC Non-Creamy Layer certificate issued in last three years
  • Physical Disability Certificate (if applicable)
  • EWS Certificate issued by Tehsildar or District Magistrate (if applicable)
