The selection process includes:

1. Interview of eligible candidates (Bank reserves right to raise minimum eligibility standards to limit candidates)
2. Medical Test for shortlisted candidates (cost to be borne by the applicant)
3. Agreement with Bank before engagement

1. Download the prescribed application format (Annex-III)
2. Fill in all details completely
3. Attach attested copies of:
   • Age certificate
   • Educational qualification certificates (MBBS, PG if any)
   • Experience certificates
   • Caste certificate (ST)
4. Super scribe on the sealed cover:

   • “Application for the Post of Bank’s Medical Consultant (BMC) on Contract Basis with Fixed Hourly Remuneration”

5. Send to the following address on or before 16 June 2026, 05:00 PM:

Important Notes

• The engagement is temporary. No claim for regular employment at any stage.
• Remuneration rate may be reviewed by Bank from time to time.
• Duty hours and location may be altered by Bank as per administrative requirements.
• Bank reserves right to raise minimum eligibility standards to limit candidates for interview.
• Jurisdiction of disputes: Courts of Guwahati only

Key Duties 

• Attend dispensaries at Main Office Premises (Panbazar) and Officers’ Colony (Christian Basti)
• Give free medical advice, prescribe medicines, administer injections to Bank staff, their families, dependent parents, and retired employees
• Visit Bank staff in quarters when required
• Issue medical leave certificates
• Inspect office premises/staff quarters for sanitary conditions monthly
• Administer prophylactic inoculations and vaccinations
• Submit annual health report (as on 31st March)
• Advise on drug indents and medical claims
• Attend emergency cases even outside working hours
• Make substitute arrangements (acceptable to Bank) during absence, at own cost
