Educational Qualification
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University or Institution recognized by the Government of India or its regulatory bodies.
- The candidate must possess a valid Degree Certificate or Mark Sheet on or before the closing date of online registration.
- Candidates must indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while filling the online application form.
Work Experience
- Minimum one year post-qualification experience is mandatory.
- Experience should be in Clerical or Officer Cadre in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank included in the Second Schedule of the RBI Act, 1934.
- Candidates must submit experience certificates in the prescribed format issued by the present or previous employer.
- Relevant officer-level banking experience may be considered for advance increments as per Bank rules.
- Experience from organizations that do not match the role of a Scale-I Generalist Officer will not be considered for advance increments.
Local Language Requirement
- Candidates can apply for only one State.
- Applicants must be able to read, write and speak the local language prescribed for the State.
- Candidates who have not studied the local language in Class 10 or Class 12 must qualify the Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT).
- Failure to qualify the LLPT will result in disqualification from the final selection.

- Maximum Age: 30 Years
- Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per Government of India rules.

Posting & Service Conditions
- Candidates can apply for only one State.
- Selected candidates will be posted only in the State for which they are selected.
- Posting within the selected State will be decided by Punjab National Bank.
- Candidates must serve in the selected State for at least nine years or until promotion to SMGS-IV, whichever is earlier.
- Prior work experience will not be counted towards seniority.
