Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (as on 11 August 2026):
- Maximum Age: 27 years
- Age Relaxation: SC/ST - 5 years, OBC (NCL) - 3 years, PwBD/Ex-Servicemen - as per Govt. guidelines, Departmental (NSL) - up to 10 years
- All qualifications should be from Universities/Institutions recognized by UGC/AICTE/Government of India.
- General (UR/EWS/OBC) Candidates: 60% in Degree/PG Degree/PG Diploma
- SC/ST/PwBD Candidates: 50% in Degree/PG Degree/PG Diploma
- Departmental SC/ST/PwBD: 45% in Degree/PG Degree/PG Diploma
- Departmental UR/OBC: 55% in Degree/PG Degree/PG Diploma
- Final year appearing candidates are also eligible to apply. However, they should have passed the qualifying examination before GD & Interview and produce the final pass certificate.
Emoluments & Pay Scale
During Training (06 Months):
- Basic Pay: ₹50,000/- per month + Dearness Allowance (IDA) as per rules
- Designation: Assistant Manager
- Pay Scale: ₹60,000 - ₹1,80,000/-
- Initial Basic Pay: ₹60,000/- per month
- Additional Benefits: DA, Perquisites under Cafeteria Approach, PF, Gratuity, PRP, and other allowances as per NSL rules
Selection Process
Mode of Selection:
- Computer Based Test (CBT) - Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (Hindi & English)
- Group Discussion (GD)
- Interview
- CBT: 70%
- Group Discussion (GD): 15%
- Interview: 15%
- UR/EWS: 50 marks
- OBC (NCL): 45 marks
- SC/ST/PwBD: 40 marks
- 1:3 (Discipline-wise & Category-wise)
- In case of tie in CBT marks, all candidates with equal marks will be called for GD & Interview

Important Instructions for Candidates
- The cut-off date for reckoning eligibility for qualification, age, etc. is 11 August 2026.
- Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
- Candidates should submit only one application. In case of multiple applications, the latest one shall be considered final.
- No changes in the application data will be entertained after submission.
- Issue of admit card does not confirm eligibility. Eligibility will be verified at the time of Document Verification before GD & Interview.
- Candidates must produce original documents for verification at the time of GD & Interview.
- SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/EWS/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates must submit certificates in the prescribed proforma issued by the competent authority.
- OBC (NCL) certificate should not be older than 06 months as on the last date of application.
- EWS certificate should be valid for the year 2026-2027.
- Candidates in final year of degree can apply but must produce final pass certificate before GD & Interview.
- Mere fulfilling the minimum criteria does not guarantee call for different stages of selection.
- Canvassing in any form will be treated as disqualification.
- Court of jurisdiction for any dispute will be at Bijapur, Chhattisgarh.
Important Notes
- Wherever CGPA/letter grade is awarded, equivalent percentage should be indicated as per University norms.
- Departmental candidates are those working in Regular Rolls/Pay Scale of NMDC Steel Limited (NSL).
- Ex-servicemen are required to produce equivalence certificate of their qualification from the Competent Authority.
- Category once filled in the application form will not be changed.
- Reserved category candidates of other categories can also apply for UR vacancies if they fulfill UR criteria.
- Outstation candidates called for GD & Interview will be reimbursed Second AC Two Tier Rail/Bus fare on production of tickets.
