Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Architecture OR
- Master's Degree in Sciences / Humanities / Management / Education / Law OR
- CA / CFA or equivalent professional qualifications
- Ph.D. is welcome but NOT essential
- Minimum 15 years of technical / professional experience
- Experience in non-academic sectors such as:
- Industry
- Research & Development (R&D) Organizations
- Government Agencies
- Other Professional Organizations
- Retired persons from industry / R&D organizations are also eligible
- Professor of Practice posts are NOT open for those currently in the teaching profession.
- Candidates will be exempted from the requirement of publications and other eligibility criteria stipulated for recruitment of faculty members at the Professor level.
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 70 Years
- Engagement is initially for 1 year, renewed annually, and can be extended up to 3 years or up to the age of 70 years, whichever is earlier.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and offering new practice-oriented courses
- Advising and mentoring students on academic, industry-sponsored, and interdisciplinary projects
- Facilitating linkages with relevant external stakeholders
- Promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among students
- Providing mentorship and guidance for startups, product development, and related initiatives
- Strengthening industry-academia collaboration through joint projects, partnerships, guest lectures, internships, consultancy, and other collaborative activities
Compensation / Salary
For General Candidates:
- Monthly Honorarium: ₹1.2 Lakhs
- Additional Allowance: Up to ₹40,000/- per month (maximum) on reimbursable basis (all inclusive including accommodation)
- Remuneration = Last Pay Drawn (minus) Pension (plus) applicable TA at the time of superannuation
- Consolidated remuneration fixed at the time of joining shall remain unchanged throughout the period of appointment.
- Tax deduction shall be applicable as per norms.
