Educational Qualification
- Essential: Masters in Social Science or Physical Sciences or Bachelor of Engineering from a recognized university.
- Desirable:
- (a) Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Social Science or Physical Science.
- (b) Degree in Disaster Management or Advanced Degree in related areas shall be given preference.
Eligibility Criteria - Service & Experience
- Officers from the Central Government or State Governments or Union Territories Administration or University or Public Sector Undertaking or recognized academic research or training institution, and Semi-Government or Statutory or Autonomous Body or Local Body.
- Essential Service Criteria:
- (i) Holding analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department;
- OR
- (ii) With five years' service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the post in the Level 9 (Rs. 53,000 - 1,67,800) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.
- Desirable Experience:
- (i) Experience in disaster management or related areas such as water conservation, environmental management, forestry, urban planning, and structural engineering from a recognized institute.
- (ii) Work in government preparedness/response/recovery/mitigation or community-based disaster management programmes.
Age Limit
- Maximum Age Limit: 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
Deputation Terms & Conditions
- Period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization or department of the Central Government shall not exceed seven years.
- The terms of deputation will be governed by DoPT OM No. 6/8/2009-Estt (Pay.ll) dated 17/06/2010 and amended from time to time.
