A total of 13 vacancies have been announced for Executive Trainee (Electrical) and Executive Trainee (Mechanical) posts in various divisions. Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Minimum 60% marks in B.Tech./B.E. in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering OR B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute approved by UGC & AICTE. ODL Degrees are not permissible.
• UPSC ESE 2024 Requirement: Candidates must have cleared the Written Round of UPSC Engineering Services Examination 2024 (Mechanical/Electrical Discipline), appeared for the UPSC ESE 2024 Interview, but were NOT recommended for final selection by UPSC in ESE 2024, and have consented to sharing their marks information on UPSC's website.
• Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on 01 August 2026.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST - 5 years, OBC (NCL) - 3 years, PwD - 10 years (General), 15 years (SC/ST), 13 years (OBC-NCL) as per Government of India guidelines.

• General/OBC/EWS Candidates: Rs. 500/-
• SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen/Departmental Candidates: Nil
• Payment mode: Online Payment/Net Banking through MECL Bank Account. QR Code will be available on MECL website.

Selection Process

• Shortlisting: Candidate lists shall be prepared in decreasing order of marks (out of 1200) scored in UPSC Engineering Services Examination 2024 for Mechanical/Electrical discipline, category-wise.
• Document Verification: Shortlisted eligible candidates will be called for document verification.
• Offer of Employment: If documents are found suitable and matching with advertisement criteria, offers of employment shall be issued.
• No Separate Examination/Interview: Only UPSC ESE 2024 Score (out of 1200) will be used for recruitment. No separate written examination and no separate personal interview will be held.

Salary & Benefits

• Pay Scale: Rs. 40,000 - 1,40,000/- (E-1 Grade) (IDA)
• During Training: Initial Basic Pay of Rs. 40,000/- per month with applicable Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA).
• Other Benefits: HRA, Allowances (under cafeteria approach), PF, NPS, Performance Related Pay, Group Medical Insurance Facilities, MECL-Employee Defined Contributory Superannuation Scheme, Group Personal Accident Insurance, Term Insurance.
• Loans: Two/Four-wheeler vehicle loan and House Building Advance as per Company guidelines.
• Training Period: One year training followed by confirmation.

Security Deposit & Bond

• Selected candidates will have to serve a minimum of 36 months after joining.
• Deduction of Rs. 5,000/- per month as retention amount from salary will be made.
• Executive/Executive Trainee has to execute a bond of Rs. 1.8 Lakhs to serve the Company for a minimum period of 36 months.
• Failure to serve the minimum period will result in forfeiture of the retention amount and balance of the bond amount.
• In the event of death during the bond period, the deducted security deposit shall be refunded to the nominee.
