Eligibility Criteria (Post-wise)

1. Vigilance Officer (Level-13):

• Officers of Central/State Government/UT Administration/Autonomous/Statutory Bodies:
  • (i) Holding analogous post on regular basis; or
  • (ii) With 5 years service at Level 12; or
  • (iii) With 10 years service at Level 11; and
• Bachelor's degree from recognized University/Institute.
• 3 years experience in handling vigilance matters.

2. Chief Port Administrator (Level-13):

• Officers of Central/State Government/UT Administration/Autonomous/Statutory Bodies:
  • (i) Holding analogous post on regular basis; or
  • (ii) With 5 years service at Level 12; or
  • (iii) With 10 years service at Level 11; and
• Bachelor's degree from recognized University/Institute.
• 3 years experience in operations, business administration, transport, logistics, security, industry or commerce.
• Desirable: Master's degree in Management.

3. Under Secretary (Level-11):

• Officers of Central/State Government/UT Administration/Statutory/Autonomous Bodies:
  • (i) Holding analogous post on regular basis; or
  • (ii) With 5 years service at Level 10; or
  • (iii) With 8 years service at Level 8; and
• 5 years experience in policy, planning, administration, HR, finance, vigilance, court cases, communication.

4. Port Administrator (Level-11):

• Officers of Central/State Government/UT Administration/Statutory/Autonomous Bodies:
  • (i) Holding analogous post on regular basis; or
  • (ii) With 5 years service at Level 10; or
  • (iii) With 8 years service at Level 8; and
• 5 years experience in management, planning, administration, HR, finance, vigilance, court cases, communication.
• Desirable: Master's Degree in Management.

5. Assistant Engineer (Civil) (Level-7):

• Officers with 5 years service at Level 6 in PWD or equivalent.
• 3 years experience in civil engineering and monitoring of construction activities.

6. Private Secretary (Level-7):

• Officers with 5 years service at Level 6 or equivalent.
• 5 years experience as Private Secretary in Central/State Government/UT/Autonomous/Statutory Bodies.

7. Assistant (Level-6):

• Officers with 6 years service at Level 5 or equivalent.
• 3 years experience in administration, HR, finance.

8. JE (Civil) (Level-6):

• Officers with 5 years service at Level 5 in PWD or equivalent.
• 3 years experience in civil engineering and monitoring of construction activities.

9. JE (Electrical) (Level-6):

• Officers with 5 years service at Level 5 in PWD or equivalent.
• 3 years experience in electrical engineering and monitoring of construction activities.

10. Personal Assistant (Level-6):

• Officers with 6 years service at Level 5; or 10 years service as Steno 'D' at Level 4.
• 5 years experience in secretarial practices, office management, communication skills.

11. Port Executive (Level-6):

• Officers with 6 years service at Level 5; or 10 years service at Level 4.
• Bachelor's degree from recognized University/Institute.
• 2 years experience in operations, administration, HR, communication, transport, logistics, planning, project execution, warehousing, traffic regulation, security, industry or commerce.

Deputation Period

• Port Executive: Initial period of 3 years.
• All other posts: Initial period of 5 years, extendable up to 7 years on yearly basis subject to prior approval of the lending organisation.

Important Instructions

• Applicants should have basic working knowledge of computers, particularly MS Office including e-office, email, etc. (for Level 6 posts).
• The deputation will not bestow any claim for regular appointment in LPAI.
• Selected officers/officials at ICPs will be liable to be posted at any of the ICPs including Attari, Jogbani, Raxaul, Agartala, Dawki, Petrapole, Moreh, Rupaidiha, Sabroom, Sutarkandi, Dera Baba Nanak, Srimantpur, Mankachar, Darranga, Golakganj, and upcoming ICPs at Sonauii, Bhithamore, etc.
• LPAI is an eligible office for GPRA (only for Central Government Employees).
• Applications received after the last date or incomplete applications will not be considered.
