Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification & Experience (Any One):
- Path 1:
- Master Degree in Law (LLM) from a recognized University or equivalent; and
- Ten years' experience in imparting training or teaching or research in legal affairs in administration or in Judicial Services or ten years' practical experience at Bar as an Advocate of which three years should be in a High Court as a Senior Advocate.
- Path 2:
- Degree in Law (LL.B.) from recognized University or equivalent;
- Twelve years' experience in a state judicial service out of which five years should be at the level of Additional District Judge and Session Judge or above; or
- Twelve years' practical experience at the bar out of which five years should be in a High Court as a Senior Advocate.
- Experience as District and Session Judge; or
- Doctorate Degree in Law from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Maximum Age: Not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
Mode of Recruitment
- Appointment is by Deputation (including short-term contract) or Absorption.
- Officers under Central/State Governments are eligible for "Absorption".
- Candidates from non-Government Organizations are eligible only for Short Term Contract.
- The period of deputation/contract including period of deputation or contract in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment shall ordinarily not exceed four years.
- Pay will be regulated under DoPT O.M. No. 6/8/2009-Estt.(Pay-II) dated 17.06.2010 as amended from time to time.
