About NewSpace India Limited (NSIL)
NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) was incorporated in March 2019 under the Companies Act, 2013 as a wholly owned Government of India Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE), under the administrative control of the Department of Space (DOS). NSIL was established to commercially exploit the research and development work carried out by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Centres and constituent units of DOS. NSIL endeavors to enable Indian Industry to scale up high technology manufacturing and production base to support the growing demands of Indian Space Programme. As part of its business activities, NSIL involves in space business activities through Indian Industry namely owning satellites, tasking the building of satellites, providing launch services, building of launch vehicles, providing space-based services, satellite building and technology transfer. NSIL is a Schedule 'A' CPSE in the Space sector under the administrative control of Department of Space. The authorized and paid-up capital of the Company is Rs. 7,500 crore and Rs. 5,607.60 crore respectively as on March 31, 2026. The registered and corporate offices are at Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Eligibility Criteria
Qualification:
- Graduate in Engineering/Science with good academic record from a recognized University/Institute.
- Adequate technical/operational/project management experience at a senior level in a technical organisation of repute.
- Experience in Space/Aerospace Sector will be an added advantage.
- Internal Candidates: Minimum 45 years; Maximum - 2 years of residual service as on the last date of receipt of application w.r.t. the date of superannuation (60 years)
- Other Candidates: Minimum 45 years; Maximum - 3 years of residual service as on the last date of receipt of application w.r.t. the date of superannuation (60 years)
- The applicant must, on the date of application, as well as on the date of interview, be employed in a regular capacity (not contractual/ad-hoc) in one of the following:
- Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional Director in the Board of a CPSE)
- Central Government including the Armed Forces of the Union and All India Services
- Public Sector Banks/Financial Institutions/Autonomous Bodies
- State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the annual turnover is ₹ 1,000 crores or more
- Private Sector company where the annual turnover is ₹ 1,000 crores or more (Preference for listed companies)

- Rs. 9500-11500 (IDA) Post 01/01/1992

- Rs. 51300-73000 (IDA) Post 01/01/2007
- Rs. 120000-280000 (IDA) Post 01.01.2017
- Rs. 18400-22400 (CDA) Pre-revised
- Rs. 37400-67000 + GP 10000 (CDA)
- Rs. 144200-218200 (Level 14) CDA
- Should be holding a post of the level of Joint Secretary in Government of India or carrying equivalent scale of pay.
- Should be holding a post of the level of Major General in the Army or equivalent rank in Navy/Air Force.
- Should be holding a post equivalent to Level 14 in 7th CPC.
- Should be working at Board level position or at least a post of the level immediately below the Board level.
Job Description & Responsibilities
- Director (Technical & Strategy) is a member of Board of Directors and reports to Chairman and Managing Director.
- Assists the CMD in all matters including technical and administrative, providing support for setting technical parameters and monitoring the operations against the set norms, closely interacting with the executives of the company.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Company related to Business segments, Administration and Purchase.
- Responsible for execution of deeds, leases, contracts and other instruments on behalf of the Company subject to approval of CMD/Board.
