Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality/Citizenship:

• Citizen of India; or
• Subject of Nepal; or
• Subject of Bhutan; or
• Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962; or
• Person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries, etc.

2. Age (as on 01.08.2026):

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 26 Years

3. Age Relaxation:

• General: 26 Years + Actual service in defence forces + 3 Years (Max 45 Years)
• SC/ST: 31 Years + Actual service in defence forces + 3 Years (Max 45 Years)
• OBC: 29 Years + Actual service in defence forces + 3 Years (Max 45 Years)
• Agniveer: 21 Years + Actual service as Agniveer + 3 Years

4. Educational Qualification:

• Pass in 10th Standard or its equivalent examination.
• Should not have passed Graduation or its equivalent.
• Should be able to speak, read and write in Tamil language.
• Character should be "EXEMPLARY" at the time of valid discharge from Armed Forces.

5. Medical Standards:

• Minimum SHAPE-1 or AYE at the time of valid discharge from Armed Forces.

Pay Scale & Emoluments

• Pay Scale: ₹ 19,500 - 665/4 - 22,160 - 830/5 - 26,310 - 990/4 - 30,270 - 1,170/3 - 33,780 - 1,345/3 - 37,815
• Basic pay will be fixed based on the last drawn salary during defence service.
• Additional emoluments as per Industry-wide Bipartite Settlement and Bank's rules.
