Indian Army NCC Special Entry Scheme 125th Course (Apr 2027) Notification Out | Apply Online for SSC (NT) for Men @ joinindianarmy.nic.in

Indian Army has released the official notification for NCC Special Entry Scheme 125th Course (April 2027) for grant of Short Service Commission (Non-Tech) for Men, including Wards of Battle Casualties of Army Personnel. The entry is open for unmarried male graduates who have served in NCC and possess 'C' Certificate with minimum 'B' Grade.

Eligible and interested candidates can apply online through the official Indian Army recruitment website. The online application process will start from 20 July 2026 at 1500 hrs and close on 20 August 2026 at 1500 hrs. Candidates are advised to read the official notification carefully before applying and ensure they meet all eligibility criteria.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality:
  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal, or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and East African countries with intention of permanently settling in India.
Age Limit (as on 01 January 2027):
  • 19 to 25 Years
  • Born not earlier than 02 January 2002 and not later than 01 January 2008 (both dates inclusive)
Marital Status:
  • Unmarried Male candidates only (including Wards of Battle Casualties)
Educational Qualification (NCC 'C' Certificate Holders):
  • Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or equivalent qualification
  • Final year appearing candidates can also apply provided they complete graduation before commencement of course
  • Minimum 'B' Grade in NCC 'C' Certificate examination
  • Minimum 2/3 years service in Senior Division/Wing of NCC
Educational Qualification (Wards of Battle Casualties):
  • Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or equivalent qualification
  • NCC 'C' Certificate NOT required for Wards of Battle Casualties
  • Must be unmarried sons/unmarried daughters (including legally adopted) of Army Battle Casualties
Battle Casualty Definition:
  • Killed in action
  • Died of wounds or injuries (other than self-inflicted)
  • Wounded or injured (other than self-inflicted)
  • Missing, presumed dead

Tenure of Engagement:
  • Short Service Commission for 10 years
  • Extendable by 4 years (subject to eligibility and suitability)

  • Read the instructions carefully and fill the online registration form

  • Fill the application form with Personal Information, Communication details, Education details, and previous SSB details
  • Save & Continue each time before going to the next segment

Important Instructions for Candidates
  • DIGILOCKER Certificates will NOT be accepted in lieu of original certificates at SSB.
  • Candidates can appear for ONLY ONE SSB interview - either SSC (NT) or NCC Special Entry.
  • CGPA/Grades must be converted into Marks as per university formula.
  • Candidate's name, parent's name, and date of birth must match matriculation certificate.
  • No changes to details submitted in online application can be made after closure.
  • Multiple applications from same candidate will result in cancellation of candidature.
  • Candidates must not marry until completion of full training at OTA.
  • Candidates withdrawn from any Service Training Academy on disciplinary ground are not eligible.
  • Candidates must have never been debarred from any examination by UPSC.
