The Indian Army JAG Entry Scheme 125th Course recruitment notification has been published. A total of 10 vacancies have been announced. Eligibility Criteria
  • Nationality: Must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and East African countries with the intention of permanently settling in India.
  • Age Limit: 21 to 27 years as on 01 January 2027 (Born not earlier than 02 January 2000 and not later than 01 January 2006; both dates inclusive).
  • Educational Qualification: Minimum 55% aggregate marks in LLB Degree (three years professional after graduation or five years after 10+2 examination).
  • CLAT PG Requirement: CLAT PG 2026 Score (conducted in December 2025) is mandatory for all candidates (including LLM qualified and LLM appearing candidates).
  • Bar Council Registration: Candidates should be eligible for registration as an advocate with Bar Council of India/State.
  • Recognized Institution: Candidate should be from a College/University recognized by Bar Council of India.
  • Marital Status: Unmarried Male and Unmarried Female Law Graduates.
  • Important: Candidates should not have been withdrawn from NDA/IMA/OTA/Naval Academy/Air Force Academy or any Service Training Academy on disciplinary grounds. Should not have been arrested or convicted by a criminal court or involved in any case.

  • Stipend during Training: ₹56,100/- Per Month for Gentlemen/Lady Cadets at OTA, Chennai.

Selection Process
  • Application: Online application submission on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
  • Shortlisting: Applications are shortlisted based on vacancy to call-up ratio (CLAT PG Score).
  • SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a 5-day SSB interview at Selection Centres (Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, Jalandhar).
  • Medical Examination: Candidates recommended after SSB Stage-II will undergo a medical examination.
  • Merit List: Merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained at SSB interview.
  • Joining Letter: Candidates in the merit list within stipulated vacancies and medically fit will receive joining letters for Pre-Commissioning Training at OTA, Chennai.

  • Step 2: Click on 'Officer Entry Appln/Login' and then click 'Registration' (if not already registered).
  • Step 3: Fill the online registration form carefully. After registration, click on 'Apply Online' under Dashboard.
  • Step 4: Click 'Apply' shown against Short Service Commission JAG Entry Course.
  • Step 5: Fill the application form with Personal Information, Communication Details, Education Details, and Details of previous SSB (if any).
  • Step 6: Click 'Save & Continue' each time before proceeding to the next segment.
  • Step 7: After filling all details, verify the information on the 'Summary of your information' page and click 'Submit'.

Important Instructions
  • Only those candidates who are holding an LLB degree and Marksheet are eligible to apply provided they meet other educational qualifications.
  • All candidates are mandatorily required to get their CLAT PG 2026 result verified at the Selection Centre prior to conduct of SSB.

  • DIGILOCKER Certificates will not be accepted in lieu of ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES.
