Eligibility Criteria
  • Essential Qualification: Master's degree in Biotechnology / Life Science / Entomology / Agricultural Entomology / Bioinformatics and allied subjects.
  • NET Qualification: ICAR/CSIR/UGC-NET or equivalent National Level Eligibility Test (As per DST OM File No. SB/Z-06/2019 dated 01-02-2024).
  • Desirable: Research experience in Insect Biotechnology / CRISPR-Cas / RNAi / Molecular Biology / Genomics / Proteomics / Transcriptomics / Nanobiotechnology. Experience in lab techniques such as real-time PCR, SDS PAGE, insect embryonic microinjection, functional genomics, bioinformatics, data analysis, and insect culture maintenance.
  • Age Limit: Maximum 35 years for men and 40 years for women as on the date of interview.
  • Age Relaxation: Relaxation in upper age limit to SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwD (10 years), and other eligible categories as per GoI/ICAR rules.

Important Instructions
  • The engagement will be purely on a contractual basis, time-bound, non-regular, and co-terminus with the project.
  • The incumbent shall not have any claim for regular appointment under ICAR or any further contractual engagement on termination of the project.
  • The tenure of engagement will be initially for a period of up to 12 months from the date of engagement or the term of the project, whichever is earlier.
  • The services of the incumbent shall stand terminated automatically on expiry of the period given in the offer letter.
  • Subject to extension of the term of the project, the engagement may be further extended based on satisfactory performance and work requirement.
  • During the period of engagement, if the performance is non-satisfactory, the incumbent could be terminated from the position with one-month notice.
