Eligibility Criteria
- For Under Graduate Engineer (B.Tech): Pursuing Engineering Degree in 7th/8th semester from a recognized Indian University/Institute in Electronics & Telecommunication Engg., Electronics Communication Engineering (ECE), Mechanical Engineering (Preferably in 3D Designing), or Computer Science (Preferably with Python programming or Image Processing).
- For Post Graduate Engineer (M.Tech): Pursuing M.Tech (1st year) full-time course in 3rd/4th semester in Physics/Applied Physics/Engineering Physics (Preferably in application of Quantum Mechanics).
- For M.Sc Physics: Pursuing M.Sc Physics (1st year) in 3rd/4th semester or IInd Year, preferably in Optics/application of quantum mechanics.
- Academic Performance: Students should have a good academic track record with ≥ 70% marks or ≥ 7.0 CGPA on a scale of 10 (First Class with Distinction) from AICTE/UGC approved universities.
- Request Letter: The Principal/Director of the institution must provide a request letter for highly deserving meritorious students only.
Age Limit
- Age Limit: Below 28 Years as on the date of application.
Application Fee
- No fees are applicable for submission of the application form or at any stage of the selection process.
- All eligible students can apply for this internship free of cost.
Stipend & Benefits
- Monthly Stipend: ₹35,000/- Per Month for the duration of 06 months.
- Payment Schedule: Payment will be made in two installments. First installment (₹15,000) will be paid after 03 months of internship. Second installment will be paid after 06 months.
- Completion Certificate: A completion certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of 06 months of internship, including evaluation of project work and submission of project report.
- Attendance Requirement: Stipend is applicable only if the student has good academic performance and completes a minimum of 15 days per month of physical attendance at DYSL-QT.
- Note: No boarding or lodging expenses are admissible. Selected candidates need to arrange accommodation on their own.
Selection Process
- Screening of Applications: Applications received by Speed Post will be screened based on eligibility criteria and academic merit.
- Merit List: Eligible students will be selected based on CGPA of all previous year semesters/Percentage marks of all previous semesters.
- Interview: Shortlisted candidates may be called for offline examination/telephonic interview/in-person interaction as required.
- Document Verification: Selection is subject to satisfactory verification of documents.
- Offer Letter: Shortlisted students will only be notified about the joining procedures and regarding undertaking forms and indemnity bond to be filled by them and by the head of the institution.
- Incomplete Application: Incomplete applications will be automatically rejected.

Important Instructions
- The internship duration is for a period of 06 months (01 Sep 2026 to 28 Feb 2027). Completion Certificate will be issued only after completing 06 months from the date of joining.
- Stipend of ₹35,000/- per month is only applicable if the student has good academic performance and completes a minimum of 15 days per month of physical attendance at DYSL-QT.
- Payment will be made in two installments. The first installment will be paid after 03 months of Internship. No payment will be made if a student does not complete a tenure of 03 months.
- DYSL-QT/DRDO shall have no obligation to offer employment to such interns nor can an intern claim a right for employment on the grounds of completion of this Internship.
- If the student is unable to complete the internship and leaves in between the program, the completion certificate will not be issued and no payment will be made for incomplete tenure.
- Incomplete/erroneous applications received or received after the due date will be rejected. No further communication will be entertained.
- Selection will be based entirely on merit basis. No communication will be undertaken for rejected candidates.
- The management reserves the right to change the vacancy positions or selection criteria at any point during the selection process without assigning any reason whatsoever.
- The student should produce a request letter from the college in the prescribed format and an Indemnity form when required by DYSL-QT.
- Selected students will have to submit NOC from college authorities, Police Verification, Undertaking for Indian Official Secrets Act 1923, IT Rules compliance, Bank details, Medical fitness certificate, and Original documents for verification at the time of joining.
- No boarding or lodging expenses are admissible. Selected candidates need to arrange accommodation on their own.
- Original documents will be returned immediately after verification.
