Age Limit Details
- For JRF: Age not exceeding 28 years as on the date of interview. Age relaxation is allowed up to 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC candidates.
- For RA: Age not exceeding 35 years as on the date of interview. Age relaxation is allowed up to 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC candidates.
Fellowship Details
- JRF Stipend: ₹37,000/- per month with HRA as stipend.
- RA Stipend: ₹67,000/- per month with HRA as stipend.
- JRF Tenure: Initially for a period of two years. Based on performance, it may be upgraded to SRF and extended for 3rd and 4th year if required.
- RA Tenure: For a period of two years.
Selection Process
- Step 1: CV Submission: Candidates must send their CV (in Appendix 'A' format) to hrd.drl@gov.in on or before 04 September 2026.
- Step 2: Walk-in-Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a walk-in-interview on 11 September 2026 at DRL, DRDO, Tezpur.
- Step 3: Document Verification: Candidates must produce original certificates/testimonials and Aadhar Card at the time of interview.
- Step 4: Final Selection: Selection will be based on the performance in the interview and academic credentials.
- Admission will be entirely at the discretion of the Selection Committee of the Institute.

Important Instructions
- The offer of fellowship does not confer on fellows any right for absorption in DRDO.
- Admission shall not be claimed by any candidate as a matter of right.
- Admission shall be entirely at the discretion of the Selection Committee of the Institute.
- Candidates who have received DRDO fellowship / associate-ship earlier need not apply.
- Candidates possessing degree / provisional degree certificate are only eligible to apply.
- Candidates are to produce original certificate / testimonials and Aadhar Card at the time of interview.
- Candidates are required to produce copies of published research papers & thesis also at time of interview.
- Candidates presently employed in Government Department/PSU/Autonomous Bodies should send their application through proper channel and produce NOC from their employer at the time of interview.
