CSIR-Innovation Protection Unit (CSIR-IPU), New Delhi has released the official notification for the recruitment of Project Staff on a purely temporary basis under the "Intellectual Property Management" project. A total of 05 vacancies have been announced for various posts including Project Scientist and Project Associate-Senior PAT in different engineering and science disciplines. Eligible and interested Indian nationals can appear for the Walk-in-Interview as per the scheduled dates at the CSIR-IPU office in New Delhi.

Educational Qualification
Post Code - 1: Project Scientist (PS-1) - Mechanical Engineering
- Essential: Master's / Integrated Master's in Mechanical Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent with 4 years' experience in R&D in Industrial/Academic Institutions or Science & Technology Organizations.
- Desirable: PGDIPR or Patent Agent qualification in addition to the above qualifications.
- Essential (Option 1): Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Technology from a recognized University with 3 years' experience in R&D in Industrial/Academic Institutions or Science & Technology Organizations.
- Essential (Option 2): Master's / Integrated Master's in Civil Engineering or Technology with 2 years' experience in R&D in Industrial/Academic Institutions or Science & Technology Organizations.
- Desirable: PGDIPR or Patent Agent qualification in addition to the above qualifications.

Salary & Benefits
- Project Scientist (PS-1): ₹56,000/- per month + HRA (with 5% increment for every 2 years of experience in the same project)
- Project Associate-Senior PAT: ₹42,000/- per month + HRA
- House Rent Allowance (HRA) payable as per extant Government of India rules applicable to CSIR employees.
- The engagement is purely temporary, time-bound, and on a contractual basis.
- Initial tenure up to 31 March 2027. Continuation beyond depends on project extension, but shall not exceed 31 March 2031.

- Download the prescribed "Application Format for Engagement under IPM Project" available with the advertisement.
- Fill all details in BLOCK LETTERS in the application form.
- Tick the required position/Post Code for which you are applying.
- Candidates applying for more than one position must apply separately for each position.
- Bring a printout of the filled application form on the date of the walk-in-interview.
- Carry original certificates/testimonials along with two copies of attested photographs.
- Carry a set of self-attested copies of certificates/testimonials in support of age, qualification, marks obtained, experience, etc.
- Report at the CSIR-IPU reception desk between 09:30 AM to 10:30 AM on the scheduled interview date.

Important Instructions
- The engagement is purely temporary, time-bound, and on a contractual basis.
- Initial tenure will be up to 31 March 2027. Continuation beyond depends on project extension but shall not exceed 31 March 2031.
- Final semester and result awaited candidates are not eligible.
- The cut-off date for determining qualification, experience, and age will be the date of Walk-in-Interview.
- Mere fulfilling the minimum qualification does not confer any right for being called for interview.
- If large numbers of applications are received, the screening committee will adopt its own higher criteria for shortlisting.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test/interview.
- A panel of waitlisted candidates will be made and valid for one year or until project completion, whichever is earlier.
- The engagement confers no rights for continuation beyond tenure/absorption/regularization in CSIR.
- Contract may be terminated at any time with one month notice or one-month stipend in lieu thereof.
- Canvassing in any form will render the candidate disqualified.
- Head, CSIR-IPU reserves the right to increase/decrease positions or cancel the recruitment process at any stage.
- Any change in schedule will be displayed on the CSIR website.
- Selected and waitlisted candidates' results will be declared on the CSIR website.
