Airports Authority of India (AAI), Regional Headquarters (Northern Region), New Delhi has released an official notification for the engagement of Graduate/Diploma & ITI Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the year 2026-27. The AAI Northern Region Apprenticeship Recruitment 2026 notification was published on 14 August 2026 under Advertisement No. 01/2026/APPRENTICE/GRADUATE/DIPLOMA/ITI/NR. A total of 205 vacancies have been announced for various disciplines at various Airports in the Northern Region. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official NATS/NAPS portals. The last date to submit the application is 16 September 2026.

About Airports Authority of India (AAI)

Airports Authority of India (AAI) is a Schedule 'A' Miniratna Category-1 Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India. AAI was constituted by an Act of Parliament and came into being on 1st April, 1995 by merging the erstwhile National Airports Authority and International Airports Authority of India. Educational Qualification
  • Graduate Apprentices: Full-time (Regular) Four years Degree in Engineering in the above-mentioned streams, recognized by AICTE, Government of India. BCA/B.Com graduates are also eligible for the BCA/B.Com category.
  • Diploma Apprentices: Full-time (Regular) Three years Diploma in Engineering in the above-mentioned streams, recognized by AICTE, Government of India.
  • ITI Apprentices: ITI/NCVT certificate in the above-mentioned Trades from Institution recognized by AICTE, Government of India.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Nationality: Only Indian Nationals who are domiciles of Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Leh Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand are eligible.
  • Passing Year: Candidates who passed degree/diploma in 2024 or after 2024 are eligible.
  • Age Limit (as on 16.09.2026):
    • Minimum Age: 18 years
    • Maximum Age: 26 years (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD as per Government of India guidelines)

Selection Process
  • Shortlisting: Provisional selection will be made based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Date of birth and date of passing will be taken as seniority in case of equal percentage of marks.
  • Document Verification: Eligible candidates will be called for document verification through registered email IDs only.
  • Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview/document verification through their registered email IDs only.
  • Medical Examination: Final selection will be based on interview/verification of certificates and submission of Medical Fitness Certificate at the time of joining.
  • Final Selection: Based on merit and verification of documents, subject to being found fit in medical examination.

How to Apply for AAI Northern Region Apprenticeship Recruitment 2026

For Graduate/Diploma Apprentices:
  • Step 1: Visit the NATS 2.0 Portal: www.nats.education.gov.in
  • Step 2: Click on the "Student" button and select "General Student" tab.
  • Step 3: Complete the Student Registration (e-KYC with Aadhaar, profile filling, educational details, etc.).
  • Step 4: Upload Provisional Certificate/Passed Certificate (PDF format, less than 1 MB).
  • Step 5: Fetch APAAR ID or create one from the ABC portal.
  • Step 6: Complete the profile and submit.
  • Step 7: Search for establishment "Airports Authority of India - RHQ NR, New Delhi (NDLSWC000002(BOAT))" and click on the apply button.
For ITI Apprentices:
  • Step 1: Visit the Apprenticeship Portal: www.apprenticeshipindia.org
  • Step 2: Click on "Register" and select the "Candidate" option.
  • Step 3: Fill the registration form with Basic, Family, and Contact details.
  • Step 4: Activate your account through the email verification link.
  • Step 5: Log in and complete your profile (About Me, Contact Details, etc.).
  • Step 6: Search for establishment "Airports Authority of India - RHQ NR, New Delhi (E05200700101(NAPS))" and click on the apply button.
Note: Candidates should register themselves on the concerned portal (NATS/NAPS) prior to applying for apprenticeship training in AAI. Registered Applications received online through NATS/NAPS portal will only be considered.

Important Instructions
  • Candidates who have already completed their apprenticeship or terminated their apprenticeship midway or are pursuing in other organizations or in AAI with the same qualification level, shall not be eligible for engagement as apprentice.
  • Candidates who had apprenticeship training/job experience for a period of 1 year or more after the attainment of essential qualifications, shall not be eligible for engagement as apprentice.
  • Apprentices shall have to undergo Apprenticeship Training at notified Airports/Establishments. The allocated Airport/Station/Unit will be final; no change in place of training will be entertained at a later stage.
  • During the period of apprenticeship, candidates will be governed by the Apprentices Act, 1961 (as amended in 1973 and till date) and the policies/rules of the organization.
  • AAI has no obligation to give regular employment to Apprentices. They shall have no right to claim regular employment from AAI on the basis of this apprenticeship at any point of time.
  • No TA/DA will be provided to the applicants for attending the interview.
  • No Application Fee is being charged.
  • Candidates applying for more than one discipline will not be considered and their application will be rejected.
  • The candidature of the applicant would be provisional, subject to verification of all certificates and submission of certificate of Medical Fitness.
  • At any stage of selection process, if it is found that the candidate has furnished false or incorrect information, then the candidature/engagement of the candidate is liable to be cancelled.
  • In case of any dispute, English version of notice and communication will be treated as valid.
