The Division of Genetics and Division of Plant Physiology, ICAR–Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, has invited applications for an Online Interview for the recruitment of Research Associate (RA) under a DBT-funded research project titled "Genomics-assisted breeding for development of Dry-DSR ready Basmati rice varieties". The position is purely temporary and contractual. Interested and eligible candidates must submit their applications through email on or before 29 June 2026. Educational Qualification
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Life Sciences.
- OR
- Candidates with M.Tech. in Life Sciences and 03 years of research, teaching, design and development experience along with at least one research paper published in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal.
- Qualifications should be as per DST Office Memorandum No. DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated 26.07.2023.
- Experience in molecular markers.
- Marker-assisted breeding.
- Field phenotyping.
- Handling and management of field rice crops.
Salary & Benefits
- Research Associate Fellowship: ₹58,000/- per month
- House Rent Allowance (HRA): 27% extra as admissible
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 40 Years
- Age Relaxation:
- 05 Years for SC/ST and Women Candidates
- 03 Years for OBC Candidates
Nature of Appointment
- The post is purely temporary and contractual.
- Initially valid up to 31 March 2027.
- May be extended periodically based on satisfactory performance until completion of the project.
- The appointment is co-terminus with the project.
- No claim for regular appointment at ICAR-IARI shall be entertained.
