The Division of Vegetable Science, ICAR–Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, has invited applications for Walk-in-Interview for the recruitment of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) under two ICAR-funded projects namely CRP on Molecular Breeding (Tomato) and CRP on Hybrid Technology (Tomato). The appointments are purely contractual and temporary. Interested and eligible candidates must submit their applications through email on or before 20 June 2026 and attend the Walk-in-Interview on 22 June 2026.

Educational Qualification
- Master’s Degree in Genetics / Plant Breeding / Plant Breeding & Genetics / Biotechnology / Life Sciences or related disciplines from a recognized University with 4-year/5-year Bachelor's Degree.
- OR
- Candidates having Postgraduate Degree in Basic Sciences with 3-year Bachelor's Degree and 2-year Master's Degree must have qualified NET and possess 02 years of research experience.
- Qualifications should be as per ICAR and DST guidelines.
Essential Experience
- Knowledge and experience in Molecular Breeding.
- Plant Breeding and Genetics.
- Biotechnology and Life Sciences research.
- Research experience in tomato breeding projects will be desirable.
Salary & Benefits
- Fellowship: ₹37,000/- per month
- House Rent Allowance (HRA): 30% extra as admissible
- Pay will be as per ICAR Memorandum F. No. Agril. Edn.06/27/2014-HRD(e-91506) dated 15.10.2024.
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 35 Years
- Age Relaxation:
- 05 Years for SC/ST and Women candidates
- 03 Years for OBC candidates
Nature of Appointment
- The posts are purely temporary and contractual.
- Initially valid up to 30 September 2026.
- The appointment is co-terminus with the project.
- No claim for regular appointment at ICAR-IARI shall be entertained.
