Eligibility Criteria
- Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment
Age Limit
- Age Range: 18 to 40 years
- Born Between: 02 January 1986 and 01 January 2008 (both dates included)
- SC/ST and OBC candidates are eligible for usual age relaxation as per Government of Kerala rules.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess the following qualification:
- Post Graduate Degree in Geology / Marine Geology or its equivalent from a UGC recognized University or National Institute established by the Government of India or Institution established by the Government of Kerala.
Note:
- Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable.
- In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders, or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the special rules or found acceptable by the Commission in cases where acceptance of equivalent qualifications is provided for in the rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the Commission.
Probation Period
- Every person appointed to this post shall, from the date on which he joins duty, be on probation for a total period of two years of duty within a continuous period of three years.
Test Requirements
- Every person appointed to this post shall within the period of probation pass the Manual of Office Procedure and Account Test (Lower or Higher) unless he has passed the tests previously.
Ranked List Validity
- The Ranked List prepared by the Commission shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year.
- The list shall continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years, whichever is earlier.
- Candidates will be advised from the said list against the vacancies noted above and also against the vacancies if any reported to the Commission during the period of currency of the list.

- No application fee is required to be paid.
- Take a printout of the submitted application for future reference.
- Candidates should keep their User ID and Password confidential.

Important Instructions for Candidates
- Candidates who receive a profile message at any stage directing them to upload documents to prove their qualifications should do so within the stipulated time; otherwise, they will not be considered for the next stage.
- In case of difference in Caste/Community claimed in the application and that entered in SSLC book, the candidate shall produce a Gazette Notification in this regard, along with Non-Creamy Layer Certificate / Community Certificate at the time of certificate verification.
- Candidates should familiarize themselves with the General Conditions given in Part II of the Gazette Notification before submitting the application.
- Applications not submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions are liable to be rejected.
- Appropriate disciplinary action shall be initiated against those who submit applications with bogus claims regarding education, experience, etc.
