About Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL)
Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) was established in July 1990 to execute the Konkan Railway Project connecting Roha in Maharashtra to Thokur in Karnataka along India's western coast. The railway line spans approximately 741 km and became operational on 26 January 1998.
KRCL is a Schedule ‘A’ Public Sector Undertaking engaged in train operations and infrastructure project execution. The registered and corporate office is located at CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Job Responsibilities
The Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) is the Chief Executive of the Corporation and is accountable to the Board of Directors and the Government of India.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Overall management and administration of KRCL.
- Achieving corporate objectives and performance targets.
- Strategic planning and policy implementation.
- Infrastructure project execution and railway operations.
- Financial and operational management.
- Coordination with Government agencies and stakeholders.
- Leadership of the organization and workforce.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 45 Years
- Internal Candidates: Minimum 2 years residual service as on vacancy date.
- Other Candidates: Minimum 3 years residual service as on vacancy date.
- Age of Superannuation: 60 Years
Candidates should possess any one of the following:
- Engineering Graduate
- Chartered Accountant (CA)
- Cost Accountant (CMA)
- Post Graduate Degree
- Graduate with MBA / PGDIM from a recognized institution
- Minimum 5 years cumulative experience during the last 10 years.
- Experience in Finance, Business Development, Production, Operations, Marketing or Project Management.
- Experience in a large reputed organization.
- Experience in Contract & Construction sectors is desirable.
- Experience in Technical Consultancy Services or Railway Sector will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with at least 5 years experience in HR/IR/Personnel Management along with 3 years experience in Finance, Business Development, Production, Operations, Marketing or Project Management may also apply.
