The Division of Genetics, ICAR–Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, has invited applications for Walk-in-Interview for the recruitment of 01 Young Professional-II (YP-II) and 02 Field Assistant posts under the CCF-ICAR Product Development Project (PDP) titled "Consolidating wheat and maize yield under changing climate conditions through development and up-scaling of environmentally sustainable indigenous technologies including improved varieties/hybrids: A self-sustainable system of project funding". The appointments are purely temporary and contractual. Eligible candidates must submit their applications through email on or before 21 June 2026.

Educational Qualification
Young Professional-II (YP-II)
- Master’s Degree in Plant Breeding / Genetics / Agriculture with specialization in Plant Breeding and/or Genetics / Biotechnology / Plant Biotechnology / M.Tech Biotechnology.
- Minimum one year experience of working in wheat.
- Experience in experimental field layout.
- Crossing and selection work in wheat breeding programmes.
- Intermediate / 12th Pass.
- Experience in field and laboratory work.
- Field layout and crop management.
- Single plant harvesting and tagging work in wheat.
Salary & Benefits
Young Professional-II (YP-II)
- ₹42,000/- per month (Fixed)
- ₹22,500/- per month (Fixed)
- 10% increment in the third year as applicable.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: 45 Years
- Age will be calculated as on the date of interview.
Nature of Appointment
- The posts are purely temporary and contractual.
- Appointments are project-based and co-terminus with the project.
- Selected candidates shall not claim any regular appointment at ICAR-IARI.
