
SBI Bank Medical Officer (BMO) Syllabus 2026 | Exam Pattern & Subject-wise Syllabus for Professional Knowledge Test
State Bank of India (SBI) has released the detailed syllabus and exam pattern for the Bank Medical Officer (BMO) Recruitment 2026. The selection process includes an Online Written Test followed by Interview and Local Language Proficiency Test. Candidates preparing for the SBI BMO 2026 examination must be familiar with the exam pattern, marking scheme, and subject-wise syllabus to plan their preparation effectively.
The Online Written Test will consist of General Aptitude papers (qualifying in nature) and a Professional Knowledge paper that will be considered for merit. - Except Professional Knowledge (PK) paper, other papers are qualifying in nature.

- There will be negative marks for wrong answers in Online Written Examination.
- Weightage: Written Test (70%) + Interview (30%)

Language Proficiency Test
The candidates applying for vacancies of a particular Circle/Office should be proficient (reading, writing and understanding) in any one of the specified opted local languages of that Circle/Office location. The test of knowledge of specified opted local language will be conducted as a part of the selection process.
- Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language as one of the subjects will be exempted from the language test.
- Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be offered appointment.
