The National e-Governance Division (NeGD), an independent business division under the Digital India Corporation, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, has invited online applications for various specialist positions on a contractual basis for a period of two years. A total of 07 vacancies are available in the areas of Data Governance, Data Standards, Legal & Policy, Digital Platforms, Coordination, Privacy & Compliance, and Research & Analytics. About NeGD
The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) functions under the Digital India Corporation, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY). Since 2009, NeGD has been supporting the Government of India in programme management and implementation of various e-Governance initiatives at both Central and State levels.
NeGD manages several flagship Digital India platforms including DigiLocker, UMANG, API Setu, OpenForge, National Academic Depository, Academic Bank of Credits, MyScheme, National AI Portal, India Stack Global, Meri Pehchaan and many other Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) initiatives. It also provides technical assistance, policy support, capacity building and digital governance solutions to Ministries, Departments and State Governments across India.

Eligibility Criteria
Team Lead – Data Governance & Coordination
- Master’s Degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Social Sciences, MBA or Technology Management
- B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, IT, Electronics or related discipline
- 12–15 years of relevant experience
Data Standards & Interoperability Specialist
- B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, IT, Electronics or related discipline
- M.Tech/M.Sc desirable
- 8–10 years of relevant experience
Data Policy & Legal Specialist
- LLB or LLM from a recognized institution
- Master’s Degree in Public Policy, Governance, Law & Technology desirable
- 8–10 years of legal, policy or regulatory experience
Digital Platforms & DPI Integration Specialist
- B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, IT or Electronics
- M.Tech desirable
- 6–8 years of relevant experience
Centre & State Coordination Specialist
- Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Social Sciences, MBA or equivalent
- 7–9 years of government coordination experience
Data Privacy, Security & Compliance Officer
- B.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or IT
- Professional certifications such as CIPP, CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor
- 7–9 years of relevant experience
Research, Analytics & Knowledge Management Specialist
- Master’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, Data Science or related discipline
- 5–7 years of relevant experience
Maximum Age Limit: 45 Years as on the closing date of application 30 June 2026.
