Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Fellow / Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), OR
- Fellow / Associate Member of the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India (ICWAI/ICMAI)
- Minimum 18 years of similar work experience out of which at least:
- (a) 15 years in Pay Level-11 and above, OR
- (b) 8 years in Pay Level-12 and above, OR
- (c) 3 years in Pay Level-13
- Experience must be in Government / PSU or equivalent in Industry
Job Description
- Overall in charge of the Finance and Accounts Office of IIM Shillong
- Responsible for maintenance of accounts and disbursement
- Investment management and treasury functions
- Statutory auditing and compliance
- Preparing budget estimates
- Tax and other statutory requirements
- Any other responsibilities as assigned by the competent authority
Salary & Benefits
- Pay Scale: Level-13 as per 7th CPC | Initial Basic Pay: Rs.1,23,100/-
- Pay and Allowances as per Government of India rules and Institute rules
- Pay protection may be considered for candidates working in PSUs, Central/State Universities, Semi-Government Institutions or Autonomous Bodies (as per DOPT, Govt. of India orders)
- Candidates called for Interview will be reimbursed to & fro Air Travel by economy class

Selection Process
- Applications will be screened by a Screening Committee constituted for the purpose
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview — shortlist results and interview venue will be notified on IIM Shillong website
- The decision of the Screening Committee is final
- Mere fulfilment of minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee shortlisting or selection
- The Screening Committee may adopt additional criteria for screening beyond the stated criteria
Important Instructions
- Applications received after 30 June 2026 or incomplete applications will not be considered
- The Institute may relax age, qualification and experience requirements in exceptional and deserving cases
- Relaxation in qualifying marks: up to 5% for SC/ST/PwD candidates; up to 3% for NC-OBC candidates
- All correspondence including interview call letters and appointment letters will be sent by email only
- No interim correspondence will be entertained regarding conduct/result of interview or reasons for non-shortlisting
- Only shortlisted candidates will be communicated — no communication implies non-shortlisting
