The Raman Research Institute (RRI), Bengaluru, an autonomous institute funded by the Government of India, has invited online applications from highly motivated candidates for recruitment to the posts of Research Assistant (RA) under the Quantum Network and Sensing Group of the Light and Matter Physics (LAMP) theme. The appointments are purely temporary and initially for a period of one year, extendable by one more year based on satisfactory performance. Eligible candidates can apply online on or before 15 July 2026.

Educational Qualification

Essential Qualification:
  • M.Sc. in Physics / Photonics / Optoelectronics / Related Fields.
  • OR
  • B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Engineering Physics / Electronics / Related Fields.
  • Minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade.
  • Candidates who have appeared for their final examination are also eligible to apply.
  • Selected candidates must submit the provisional degree certificate at the time of joining.
Desirable Qualification & Experience:
  • Designing, fabrication and characterization of integrated photonic circuits.
  • Free-space optical layout design and alignment.
  • Handling sensitive optical components, fiber optics and detectors.
  • Interfacing and controlling laboratory test instruments.
  • Programming knowledge in Python, MATLAB or LabVIEW.
  • Strong interest in experimental optics and quantum photonics.

Salary & Benefits
  • ₹31,000/- per month (Consolidated).
  • HRA will be paid as per Institute norms.

  • Maximum Age: 26 Years.
  • Age will be calculated as on the closing date of application.
