Research Centre Imarat (RCI), Hyderabad, one of the premier laboratories of Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), invites applications from eligible Engineering and Science Undergraduate and Postgraduate students for its Paid Internship Programme 2026-27. The internship provides students an opportunity to work on advanced Avionics Systems, Missile Technologies and Defence Research projects under the guidance of DRDO scientists.

Educational Qualification
- Students pursuing Full-Time Undergraduate or Postgraduate Engineering/Science courses from recognized Indian Universities/Institutes.
- Only Final Year B.Tech students (VII & VIII Semester) are eligible.
- Only 2nd Year M.Tech students and Final Year M.Sc students are eligible.
- Applicable only for Engineering disciplines and Science disciplines (Physics & Chemistry).
Eligibility Criteria
- Only Indian Nationals are eligible.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 75% marks or equivalent CGPA.
- Students should belong to AICTE/UGC approved Colleges or Universities.
- Age Limit: Below 28 Years.
- Applications must be recommended and forwarded by the Principal/HOD of the Institution.
Internship Duration & Stipend
- Internship Duration: Minimum 06 Months
- Monthly Stipend: ₹5,000/-
- Students must attend the laboratory for a minimum of 15 working days every month.
- First Installment after successful completion of 03 months.
- Second Installment after successful completion of 06 months.
- Stipend will be credited directly to the student's bank account.
Selection Process
- Screening based on Academic Merit.
- Minimum 75% Marks / Equivalent CGPA.
- CGPA Evaluation.
- Online Interview / Interaction (if required).
- Document Verification.
- Final Selection by RCI/DRDO.

Boarding & Lodging
- No Boarding or Lodging expenses will be provided by RCI/DRDO.
- Students must make their own accommodation arrangements.
Terms & Conditions
- Interns must strictly follow laboratory guidelines and discipline.
- Any misconduct may result in immediate termination of internship.
- RCI/DRDO is under no obligation to offer employment after completion of internship.
- Completion of internship does not guarantee any future employment.
- Management reserves the right to modify vacancy positions or selection criteria at any stage.
- Internship Completion Certificate will be issued only after successful completion and submission of project report.
- Students leaving the internship before completion will not receive a certificate or stipend.
