Institute for Systems Studies & Analyses (ISSA), a premier laboratory of Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India, invites applications from eligible final year Undergraduate and Postgraduate Engineering and Science students for the Paid Internship Scheme 2026-27. The internship will be for a period of six months and offers students an opportunity to work on Defence Systems Analysis, Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics and related scientific decision-making projects.

Institute for Systems Studies & Analyses (ISSA) is a premier DRDO institution involved in systems analysis of Defence Systems. It provides analytical support to the top echelons of the Indian Armed Forces and DRDO Headquarters for scientific decision-making. ISSA also provides systems analysis support to various DRDO laboratories and institutions under the Ministry of Defence.

Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech OR M.Sc./M.Tech Full-Time Course.
- Must be studying in a recognized Indian University/Institute.
- Only Final Year Students are eligible to apply.
- First Division in qualifying examinations is required.
Eligibility Criteria
Nationality:
- Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
- Students studying or having studied outside India are not eligible.
- Minimum 75% marks or above.
- OR Minimum CGPA 7.5 on a scale of 10.
- Candidates should have a good academic record throughout their course.
Internship Duration & Stipend
- Internship Duration: 06 Months
- Monthly Stipend: ₹5,000/-
- Total Stipend: ₹30,000/-
- ₹15,000 after successful completion of first 03 months.
- ₹15,000 after successful completion of final 03 months.
- Minimum 15 working days of physical attendance per month at ISSA is mandatory.
- Stipend will be credited directly to the student's bank account.
Selection Process
- Selection will be based on Academic Merit.
- Evaluation of Academic Performance and CGPA/Percentage.
- Verification of Eligibility Conditions.
- Document Verification.
- Final Selection by ISSA/DRDO.
- Selected students will be informed through Email.

Boarding & Lodging
- No boarding, lodging, transportation or medical facilities will be provided.
- All personal expenses during the internship shall be borne by the student.
- No reimbursement of such expenses will be made by ISSA/DRDO.

- Original College Permission/Reference Letter.
- Police Verification Certificate.
- Undertaking under Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923.
- Undertaking regarding Ministry of Defence IT Rules.

- Original Previous Semester Marksheet.
- Three Passport Size Photographs.
Terms & Conditions
- Applications must be submitted through the respective College/Institute.
- No hard copy of the application will be accepted.
- No TA/DA will be paid for joining.
- Incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected.
- Internship will be provided only in DRDO research-related fields.
- Interns will have access only to non-classified areas of the laboratory.
- Interns must comply with the Official Secrets Act, 1923 and DRDO regulations.
- No leave will be permitted except approved medical leave.
- DRDO will not be responsible for injuries during the internship period.
- Successful completion of internship does not guarantee employment in DRDO.
- ISSA reserves the right to modify vacancies or selection criteria without assigning any reason.
