The Division of Plant Pathology, ICAR–Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, has invited applications for the recruitment of 01 Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and 01 Scientific & Administrative Assistant / Field Worker under the DBT-funded research project titled "Development of mild strain-cross protected Khasi mandarin planting material for management of citrus decline caused by Citrus tristeza virus in Northeast India". The appointments are purely temporary, contractual and project-based. Eligible candidates must submit their applications through email on or before 15 June 2026. Educational Qualification
Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- Master’s Degree in Genetics / Plant Pathology / Virology / Molecular Biology / Biotechnology or any relevant discipline of Life Sciences.
- Research experience in Genomics.
- Research experience in Molecular Biology techniques.
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Experience in computer applications.
- Maintaining official records.
- Working in laboratories and handling laboratory equipment.
- Maintenance of plant growth facilities in greenhouse conditions.
Salary & Benefits
Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- ₹37,000/- + 27% HRA per month.
- ₹18,000/- + 27% HRA per month.
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 40 Years.
- Age Relaxation: 05 Years for SC/ST and Women Candidates.
- Age Relaxation: 03 Years for OBC Candidates.
Nature of Appointment
- The posts are purely temporary and contractual.
- Appointments are project-based and co-terminus with the project.
- Selected candidates shall not claim any regular appointment at ICAR-IARI.

- Maximum age is 40 years as on the closing date of application.
- Age relaxation of 05 years for SC/ST and Women candidates and 03 years for OBC candidates is applicable as per Government rules.
- The appointments are purely temporary and project-based.
- The positions are co-terminus with the project and may be terminated at any time without assigning any reason.
- Selected candidates shall not have any claim for regular appointment at ICAR-IARI.
- Candidates must bring original documents along with self-attested photocopies for verification during interview.
- Candidates having any near or distant relative working in ICAR/IARI must furnish a declaration in the prescribed format.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.

- Research experience in genomics and molecular biology techniques is desirable for the JRF post.
