The Division of Plant Pathology, ICAR–Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, has invited applications for a Walk-in-Interview for the recruitment of 01 Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and 01 Laboratory Assistant / Field Worker under the DBT-funded project titled "Unravelling the genetic and toxigenic profile of aflatoxigenic Aspergillus species associated with maize in India and its management through non-toxigenic Aspergilli". The positions are purely temporary and contractual.

Educational Qualification
Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- Master’s Degree in Plant Pathology / Microbiology / Molecular Biology / Biotechnology / any relevant discipline of Life Sciences with 4-year/5-year Bachelor's Degree.
- OR Candidates having Postgraduate Degree in Basic Sciences with 3-year Bachelor's Degree and 2-year Master's Degree should have NET/GATE qualification and 2 years of research experience.
- Basic plant pathological techniques.
- Screening for disease resistance.
- Molecular biology techniques.
- Handling Real-Time PCR instruments.
- Data analysis, interpretation and report writing.
- Graduate in Science (B.Sc.).
- Experience in Biological Sciences, Agriculture or related subjects.
- Basic laboratory maintenance and cleaning.
- Maintenance of plants in greenhouse conditions.
Salary & Benefits
Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- ₹37,000 + 27% HRA per month for 1st & 2nd Year
- ₹42,000 + 27% HRA per month for 3rd Year
- ₹20,000 + 27% HRA per month
Age Limit
- JRF – Maximum 35 Years
- Laboratory Assistant / Field Worker – Maximum 50 Years
- Age Relaxation: 05 Years for SC/ST & Women Candidates
- Age Relaxation: 03 Years for OBC Candidates
Nature of Appointment
- The posts are purely temporary and contractual.
- Appointments are project-based and co-terminus with the project.
- No claim for regular appointment at ICAR-IARI shall be entertained.
