The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai, has invited applications for the post of Project Associate-I under an ANRF-sponsored research project titled "Real-Time Terahertz Diagnostics and Water Management in Modified Nafion Membranes for Enhanced Durability and Power Output in Prototype Hydrogen Fuel Cells". Educational Qualification
- M.Sc. in Physics OR
- B.E. / B.Tech. / M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Nanotechnology or related discipline.
- Knowledge and experience in hydrogen fuel cells.
- THz spectroscopy.
- Nanomaterials and membranes.
- Catalysts and electrochemical characterization.
Job Responsibilities
- Work on hydrogen fuel cell research involving modified Nafion membranes.
- THz diagnostics and membrane fabrication.
- Catalyst studies and MEA preparation.
- Fuel cell testing and materials characterization.
- Experimental research and data analysis.
- Preparation of technical reports and publications.
Age Limit
- Below 27 years as on the closing date of application.
Salary & Benefits
- Fellowship: ₹37,000/- per month
- HRA: 30% extra (as admissible)
Nature of Appointment
- Appointment is temporary.
- Initially for one year.
- Extendable up to the duration of the project based on satisfactory performance.
- The position is purely project-based and co-terminus with the project.
- No claim for permanent absorption in TIFR.
