The Department of Evidence Synthesis (DOES), AIIMS Deoghar has invited applications for various contractual manpower positions under the Health Technology Assessment in India (HTAIn) Project funded by the Department of Health Research (DHR), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. A total of 06 vacancies are available. Interested and eligible candidates may apply on or before 15 July 2026.

AIIMS Deoghar is an Institute of National Importance established under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The Department of Evidence Synthesis (DOES) serves as the DHR–Health Technology Assessment in India (HTAIn) Centre and undertakes evidence-based healthcare research, policy analysis, and health technology assessment studies.

Educational Qualification
Health Economist
- Master’s Degree in Health Economics, Economics, Public Health, or Community Medicine with specialization in Healthcare Costing and Economic Evaluation.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience (Junior Staff) or 6 years’ experience (Senior Staff).
- Desirable: Ph.D. in relevant field.
- MD/MS/DNB/MPH after MBBS with relevant research experience OR MBBS with experience OR relevant Ph.D./Master's qualification as prescribed.
- Experience in research and development project management.
- MBBS with experience OR MD/MS/DNB/MPH OR relevant M.Sc./MPH/MHA/M.Pharm/Pharm D qualification with required experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 3 years’ experience in Government Department, PSU, Autonomous Body or University.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Graduate in Science or relevant subject with experience OR Master’s Degree in relevant subject OR Pharm D.

- Health Economist – 40 Years
- Scientist D / Senior Research Officer – 45 Years
- Scientist C / Research Officer – 40 Years
- Administrative Officer – Up to 50 Years
- Field Officer – 35 Years
- Field Investigator – 35 Years
- Age relaxation applicable as per Government of India norms.

Contract Period
- Initially for 12 months.
- May be extended for one additional year based on performance or until completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
- The engagement is purely temporary and project-based.

Job Responsibilities
- Conduct Health Technology Assessment (HTA) studies and evidence synthesis.
- Support research projects, literature reviews, and data analysis.
- Coordinate with DHR, ICMR, Government agencies and stakeholders.
- Organize workshops, meetings, training programmes and consultations.
- Manage field surveys, interviews and project monitoring activities.
- Handle administrative, financial and reporting functions as applicable.

- Health Economist – ₹67,000 + HRA
- Scientist D / Senior Research Officer – ₹78,000 + HRA
- Scientist C / Research Officer – ₹67,000 + HRA
- Administrative Officer – ₹40,000 per month
- Field Officer – ₹25,000 to ₹30,000 per month
- Field Investigator – ₹30,000 to ₹32,000 per month
