About NHSRC

NHSRC is a technical support institution under the National Health Mission (NHM), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. Set up as an autonomous registered society, it works to provide technical assistance and capacity building support to states for strengthening the public health system.

NHSRC operates through eight technical divisions — Community Processes / Comprehensive Primary Health Care, Human Resources for Health / Health Policy, Healthcare Technology, Healthcare Financing, Knowledge Management, Public Health Administration, Quality & Patient Safety, and the IT Division. The organisation plays a central role in supporting Ayushman Bharat initiatives including Health and Wellness Centres (AB-HWCs) and various digital health programmes under NHM.

With the growing need for a comprehensive, pan-India IT architecture for health data, NHSRC is looking for a seasoned IT leader to head its Information Technology Division. Work location is New Delhi with travel to states and districts.

Eligibility / Qualification
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Only regular full-time degrees are valid. Part-time or distance education qualifications are not accepted.

Essential Qualification:
  • B.Tech in Information Technology / Computer Science / Electronics OR B.Sc. IT OR BCA
  • Along with M.Tech / M.Sc. in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics OR MCA OR MBA in Information Technology / Systems (2-year full-time degree) OR full-time MBA (2-year full-time degree)
Essential Experience:
  • Minimum 15 years of post-qualification experience in Software Development, IT Systems and Networking
Desirable:
  • Prior experience in Health Informatics preferred
  • Prior experience in Public Health IT projects preferred
  • 10+ years of experience managing teams of 50 or more members
  • Proven track record of leading software product development and large-scale project execution
Deputation:
  • Government officials willing to come on deputation may also apply, subject to meeting the TOR criteria and submission of NOC from their controlling department to NHSRC

Job Responsibilities
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
  • Enhance efficiency of NHM initiatives using relevant IT solutions for — Community Processes, Comprehensive Primary Health Care, Mera Aspataal, Gunak, NQAS, LaQshya Certification, HRIS, HRH, Indian Public Health Standards (IPHS), DVDMS, Free Drugs Initiative and any other NHM/NHSRC software
  • Work towards operationalizing under-developed applications like E-Supportive Supervision, Grievance Redressal System (GRS), Health Helpline, etc.
  • Drive definition, development and roll-out of additional IT application requirements for NHM initiatives in collaboration with subject experts and programme divisions
  • Liaise with various programmes and partners; work in conjunction with MoHFW programme divisions on their IT projects
  • Support development of Common Registry for Facilities, Service Providers, and Frontline Workers
  • Review existing applications across programmes; develop integration and data sharing mechanisms in collaboration with NIC and MIS division of MoHFW
  • Generate comprehensive, timely, and policy-relevant analytics for national and state level decision makers and programme managers
  • Recommend mechanisms for effective data use in planning, service delivery, and disease surveillance
  • Support states in establishing state-level data centres
  • Design strategies, plan and ensure quality delivery as per performance standards
  • Manage the IT Division team
  • Manage resources and budget for smooth and quality operations
  • Manage stakeholders, coordinate with partners, and handle reporting and communications
  • Identify and mobilise IT resources for the above tasks
  • Any other task as per requirement

Remuneration: Starting from Rs. 3,00,000/- per month
(May be fixed higher based on experience and suitability of the candidate)
