Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
- Registration: Candidates must be registered and approved on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS 2.0) web portal and by Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT).
- Qualification: Engineering Graduates in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation streams.
- Passing Year: Candidates who have completed Engineering Graduation on or after 01 September 2023 are eligible. Those completed prior to 01 September 2023 are NOT eligible.
- UR/OBC-NC: 60% aggregate marks in all semesters/years
- SC/ST/PwBD (VH/HH/OH/MD): 50% aggregate marks in all semesters/years

Stipend & Benefits
- Monthly Stipend: ₹25,000/- per month
- Break-up: ₹20,500 by HPCL + ₹4,500 by Government of India (via DBT scheme)

Selection Process
- Step 1: Application Screening – Based on merit percentage (marks) according to eligibility criteria.
- Step 2: Document Verification – Candidates will be called in order of merit in a ratio of 1:5 with respect to training slots.
- Step 3: Final Merit List – Based on candidates found suitable after document verification.
- Step 4: Engagement – Candidates engaged in merit order on accepting tri-partite apprenticeship contract on NATS website, submission of medical certificate, and police verification.

Important Conditions
- Candidates who have been engaged previously as Apprentice or are undergoing Apprenticeship training elsewhere are NOT eligible.
- Candidates who have work experience of one year or more are NOT eligible.
- Multiple applications will be rejected.
- Apprentice will be placed for training at the preferred state (option chosen by candidate).
- Apprentice may be assigned any training location within the state as per requirement/availability.
- Engagement is governed by Apprentices Act 1961 / Apprentices Amendment Act 1973.
- No obligation on HPCL to provide permanent/temporary employment on successful completion of apprenticeship.
- Successful completion of apprenticeship does not accord any right of recruitment/selection.

Eligible candidates can apply online through the official HPCL Apprentice portal. Follow the steps below:
- Visit the HPCL Apprentice Application Link: https://jobs.hpcl.co.in/Recruit_New/recruitlogin.jsp
- Click on "Sign up for New Registration" to register
- After registration, login credentials (email ID and password) will be sent to your registered email ID
- Sign in using the login credentials
- Fill only ONE application – multiple applications will be rejected
- Select the Engineering Branch from the dropdown (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation)
- Fill Personal Details as mentioned in the application form (mandatory fields marked with *)
- Click on "Validate your details"
- After validation, click on "Save & Next" to move to the next part
- Fill Contact Details – provide correspondence address, permanent address, and contact number
- Select State of Training from the dropdown (only one state preference)
- Click on "Validate your details, Save & Next"
- In the Qualification Details section, upload recent Passport sized photograph and Signature
- Preview the application form and recheck all details
- If corrections needed, click on the section/Back and edit the details
- Read the declaration carefully
- Check the boxes of declaration and click on "Final Submit"
- After submission, a confirmation email with HPCL Application Number will be sent to your registered email ID

Important Instructions for Candidates
- Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
