(A) Service Experience – Any one of the following:
- Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; OR
- 9 years regular service after appointment as Assistant Engineer (Civil) on regular basis in Level 7 (Rs. 44900–142400) or equivalent in the parent cadre/department; OR
- 12 years regular service after appointment as Junior Engineer (Civil) on regular basis in Level 6 (Rs. 35400–112400) in the pay matrix
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university or institute
- Minimum 3 years experience in construction and maintenance of residential and non-residential buildings including designing, estimating, contracts, and supervision
Note 2: Period of deputation including short-term contract in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment shall ordinarily not exceed 4 years.
Note 3: Maximum age limit for appointment on deputation (including short-term contract) shall not exceed 56 years as on the closing date.
── Re-employment for Armed Forces Personnel ──
- Armed Forces Personnel due to retire or being transferred to reserve within 1 year, and having the requisite qualifications and experience, shall also be considered for deputation
- If selected, deputation terms will apply till their due date of release from Armed Forces
- Thereafter, they may be continued on re-employment terms

── Job Responsibilities ──
- Overseeing construction and maintenance of residential and non-residential buildings of MeitY
- Handling designing, estimating, and preparation of contracts for civil works
- Supervising civil construction projects and ensuring quality and timely completion
- Coordinating with contractors, consultants, and other government departments for civil works
- Preparing and reviewing technical specifications, drawings, and cost estimates
- Ensuring compliance with government building codes, rules, and safety standards
- Any other duties assigned by senior officers from time to time
